What is Podcast Movement: Evolutions?
This conference is put on by the same folks who organize Podcast Movement (if you couldn’t tell by the name!) While their main conference brings together podcasters and podcast professionals in the industry to mix and mingle, Evolutions is more focused on the emerging technology in the podcasting space, like OpenRAP.
Evolutions features plenty of interesting talks, keynote speakers, breakout sessions, and more. It’s a great way to learn more about the new and exciting innovations in the industry as well as meeting new podcasters and professionals in the community.
When & where’s the conference being held?
Podcast Movement: Evolutions is happening from March 26th through March 29th in Los Angeles, CA. The conference itself is being held at the JW Marriott at L.A. Live.

How do I get the most out of my time there?
1) Know your track

1) Get out of your comfort zone
It can tempting to quietly attend the conference and then head back to your hotel as soon as the clock strikes 5 p.m. But you’re not Cinderella – you don’t have to be home at a certain time!
The best way to grow is to push yourself just a bit. Be open to lunches and dinners with folks you meet, or attending the welcoming party to mingle with people, or even just sitting down at the hotel bar with new podcast friends. The key to making connections is keeping an open mind!
2) Have a good time, but not an overly good time
Remember to follow their code of conduct, remember you are technically in a professional setting. Enjoy your time but be careful not to loosen up too much.
3) Where something comfortable
While the dresscode is unofficially business casual, it’s important to wear something that makes you feel confident and comfortable. Emphasis on the comfortable! Pick out a pair of good walking shoes since you’ll most likely be spending a good amount of your time walking through the convention center.
