Spotlight on Lakenheath-Bentwaters

38m | Mar 15, 2023

On August 13, 1956, a very strange and inexplicable series of radar anomalies and aerial lights were seen over the course of about 6 hours, spanning two military bases in the UK. The bases reported on it. Blue Book Reported on it. The Condon Committee reported on it. All to no real resolution as to what caused it or what multiple radars, different systems, separate locations and multiple ground observers saw that night.

Both Anomalous Propagation and the Perseid Meteors, so prevalent at the time, have easily been ruled out. And in 1956, there were no drones capable of doing what these objects did, let alone weather balloons. Capabilities such as speeds in excess of 4,000mph. Start and stop motion at immediate speed. Converging with other anomalies on screen. Hovering. Combined - no technology of even today are capable of these activities. So…what exactly were they seeing that night?

The Lakenheath-Bentwaters incident remains just as much of a mystery as it was in 1956.
