• Voice of the Higher Self with peter DeBenedittis, Ph.D.

This week on The Conscious Consultant Hour, Sam welcomes Peter DeBenedittis, Ph.D., channel, Oneness Trainer, and longtime student of the awakening path.

In the early 2010s, Peter made four month-long journeys to Oneness University in India, founded by the avatar Sri Bhagavan, where he was trained as a Oneness Trainer and received what he calls the gift of Awakening. Over the years that followed, he taught dozens of Oneness classes and organized meditations that passed the awakening energies along to thousands of New Mexicans. Together with his beloved, Tracy Juechter, Peter has hosted a weekly meditation circle since 2011, one that continues to this day and in 2019 formed itself into a Group Consciousness.

Peter's path has been shaped by an unusual series of encounters at some of the world's most powerful sites. On the 11.11.11 Crystal Skulls World Mysteries Tour in Colorado, he touched a five-thousand-year-old crystal skull and dropped to the ground, receiving what he was told was a download that would unfold in time. In 2013, on a tour of Machu Picchu and Lake Titicaca with Lee Carroll, he made contact with a group of Pleiadians near the Sunken Temple at Tiwanaku in Bolivia.

He was later initiated to transmit the Wholeness Blessing sourced from Archangel Michael, and studied for years with GW Hardin on the science and math behind Inherent Thriving, Info-Looping, and the Gatekeeper Effect. A 2021 Quantum Healing Hypnosis Therapy session connected him more deeply with a Pleiadian being called Mira, part of a team working with humans upgrading their psychic and spiritual gifts. It was on a month-long tour of sacred sites in Egypt with Lee Carroll in 2022 that his channeling abilities truly opened. Offering sessions to fellow travelers on the Nile, he tested his gift with people accustomed to hearing from world-renowned channels, and returned home to Santa Fe called to bring this work into the world through becomingawesome.one.

Together, Sam and Peter explore what it means to become a genuine bridge between the seen and the unseen, and how the awakening path continues to unfold long after the initial opening. They discuss the years of preparation that shaped Peter's channeling, the wisdom of the Sacred Higher Self as the true source he now works with in sessions, and the way sacred sites, group consciousness, and daily meditation weave together into a living practice. This episode is an invitation for anyone who has quietly sensed their own psychic and spiritual gifts to trust what they know, and to remember that the guidance we most need is often waiting on the other side of our own listening.

  • Walking Away to Wake Up with Graham Skidmore

This week on The Conscious Consultant Hour, Sam welcomes Graham Skidmore, former Rocket Mortgage executive turned entrepreneur, activist, and mystic.

For two decades, Graham helped design and scale one of corporate America's most influential client acquisition and marketing operations engines, checking every box the culture told him mattered: the C-suite title at a twenty-thousand-person company, the six-figure income, the house, the car, the country club. What he discovered at the top was that the height of his success was also the height of his misery. Stepping away from what looked like a life well-built began as what he thought was burnout, and revealed itself over time as a spiritual initiation that redirected the whole arc of his life.

The eight-year journey that followed took Graham through healing, awakening, and a full re-examination of the systems he had spent decades helping to build. What emerged was a body of work that sits at an unusual crossroads: executive credibility, systems architecture, spiritual depth, and a fierce commitment to human sovereignty.

Through his teaching series I Didn't Come With an Owner's Manual, and through the ventures EnGen, SATH Solutions, and Harmony Health, Graham is designing what he calls a blueprint for life beyond broken systems. His core conviction is simple and radical: the power was always meant to reside with the people, and one-size-fits-all systems, whether corporate, cultural, or technological, quietly cost us our gifts, our sovereignty, and our sense of what we are actually here to do. He also believes AI, used with wisdom, can enrich human intelligence and agency rather than replace them.

Together, Sam and Graham explore what happens when someone with an insider's understanding of the machine decides to build something more human instead. They discuss burnout as a signal of misalignment rather than personal failure, the reframe that says it is often the system and not the person that is broken, and the intersection where consciousness, ethical AI, and regenerative systems meet. Graham brings the rare voice of someone who has lived in both worlds, and who speaks fluently to executives and mystics alike. This episode is an invitation to consider what might be asking to be walked away from in your own life, and to trust that what looks like collapse may in fact be the doorway to a more authentic, empowered, and purposeful way of being.

  • Releasing Our Emotional Wounds with Dr. Gina Goldfeder

This week on The Conscious Consultant Hour, Sam welcomes Dr. Gina Goldfeder, psychotherapist, author, and teacher, whose nearly thirty years of clinical work bridge the worlds of depth psychology and shamanic healing.

Her practice draws on Jungian orientation, dream interpretation, psychodrama, sacred geometry, ThetaHealing, and Progoff's Intensive Journal method, integrated with the wisdom of teachers including Joe Dispenza, Brené Brown, Byron Katie, and Geneen Roth.

Her new book, Releasing the Emotional Wound: Shamanic and Psychological Tools to Transcend Trauma and Rebuild Your Life, brings this integration to the page.

At the heart of Gina's work is a reframing that changes everything. Emotional wounds are more than scars from the past. Left unattended, they leave unconscious imprints on the soul and quietly become the excuses we use for why we cannot live a fulfilling life. Over time, we can begin to identify with the wound itself, mistaking it for who we are.

Yet these same wounds, met with awareness and honored properly, can become catalysts for a new personal identity. In her book, Gina shares the mantras, emotional ceremonies, rituals, amulets, and journaling practices she has refined across three decades of clinical practice, offering readers concrete tools for turning the very places we were most broken into the ground where a new self can grow.

Together, Sam and Gina explore what it takes to release an old identity built on pain and step into one grounded in wholeness. They discuss the meaning and origins of primal emotional wounds, the shamanic and psychological practices that support real transformation, and the ongoing work of encounters with yourself, the body-soul connection, and forgiveness as a gift you offer yourself.

This episode is an invitation to consider that the wound you have carried may not be the story of who you are, but the doorway into who you are becoming.

  • A Strategy of Kindness with Jill Lublin

This week on The Conscious Consultant Hour, Sam welcomes back Jill Lublin, a twenty-five-year veteran of the publicity world, international speaker, and four-time bestselling author widely regarded as a media magnet.

Jill has shared thousands of stages alongside voices like Tony Robbins, Barbara Corcoran, and Jack Canfield, and has worked with more than one hundred thousand clients, teaching them her signature formula for getting media attention, creating next-level visibility in the marketplace, and turning that visibility into real growth. Her work now reaches conscious entrepreneurs and mission-driven leaders through her Media Mastery Intensive and her monthly Kindness Circles.

What makes Jill's approach distinct is not simply the strategy but the spirit behind it. She was recently honored with a Humanitarian Award, a recognition that speaks to something she has quietly built her career around: the conviction that visibility and kindness belong in the same sentence. In a marketplace often driven by hype, self-promotion, and manufactured urgency, Jill teaches a different way of being seen, one rooted in clarity of message, generosity of connection, and a willingness to lead with service. Her Kindness Circles have become a gathering ground for entrepreneurs who want their work to matter and their success to lift others along the way.

Together, Sam and Jill explore how to be seen without losing yourself in the noise and how conscious entrepreneurs can build genuine visibility while staying rooted in their values. They discuss the art of crafting a message that lands, the meaning of true expertise, and the return on investment that comes from publicity done with integrity. They also look at the deeper thread woven through all of Jill's work: the idea that kindness is not soft but strategic in the truest sense, and that the leaders who thrive in this next chapter of business will be the ones who understand that being of service and being seen are not opposites. This episode is an invitation for anyone with a message worth sharing to step forward with both courage and heart.

  • When Integrity Leads with Jeff Abraham

This week on The Conscious Consultant Hour, Sam welcomes Jeff Abraham, CEO of Promescent, a sexual wellness company he has led for more than a decade.

But Jeff's story is not really a product story. It is the story of what happens when someone chooses to run a business by a different set of rules, where loyalty, integrity, and honoring the people who came before are treated as non-negotiable, not optional.

After discovering a groundbreaking treatment developed by urologist Dr. Ronald Gilbert, Jeff invested in the product, became the majority owner, and launched what became the company's flagship offering. Since 2013, he has built it into a full-spectrum wellness company with more than five million bottles sold and over four thousand healthcare professionals recommending the brand.

What makes Jeff's journey worth telling is not the growth of the company, but how he has grown it. Along the way, there have been moments where he could have taken the easier or more profitable path, and instead chose to honor his friend and business partner in ways he was under no obligation to do. He simply believed it was the right thing. That kind of decision-making is quiet, unglamorous, and increasingly rare in a business culture that often rewards the opposite. It is also, in Jeff's experience, the very thing that has allowed the company to endure and thrive over the long arc.

Together, Sam and Jeff explore what it actually looks like to build an ethical business in a world that too often treats ethics as a marketing message rather than a lived practice. They discuss the difference between running a company for profits and running a company for people, the moments that reveal a leader's real values, and why the way we treat our partners, our employees, and our customers is ultimately the truest measure of any business. This episode is an invitation for entrepreneurs to consider that success and integrity are not opposing forces, and that doing right by the people around us is, in the long run, the most sustainable business strategy there is.

  • From Force to Flow with Nikolai Blinow

This week on The Conscious Consultant Hour, Sam welcomes Nikolai Blinow, licensed mental health counselor, coach, and the creator of The Calm Hustle Method.

Nikolai works with neurodivergent women in leadership, helping them navigate burnout, perfectionism, imposter syndrome, and the quieter, often unnamed traumas of growing up neurodivergent in a neurotypical world. Her clinical training in dialectical-behavioral therapy and EMDR, combined with years as a yoga teacher, gives her a rare vantage point at the meeting place of nervous system science and embodied practice.

Her TEDx talk, Yoga and Its Connection to Mental Health, has been viewed over 300,000 times, and stands as clear evidence of her long-held belief that holistic and scientific principles belong in the same conversation.

At the heart of Nikolai's work is a reframe that changes everything. Motivation, procrastination, burnout, and the relentless inner critic are not character flaws or discipline problems. They are nervous system responses, often shaped by childhood experience, financial insecurity, trauma, perfectionism, and the way neurodivergent brains process stress, motivation, and reward. Traditional productivity advice largely misses this, which is why so many capable, ambitious women find themselves working harder and feeling worse. Through The Calm Hustle Method, Nikolai helps women break out of survival mode without dismantling the careers and businesses they have worked hard to build, guiding them from the exhausted state of force into the sustainable rhythm of flow.

Together, Sam and Nikolai explore what it really takes to move from chronic urgency into regulated, intentional living. They discuss why productivity has become a modern identity, why rest is not the opposite of meaningful work but the very ground of it, and how understanding the inner critic as an outdated survival strategy creates more lasting change than trying to silence it. They also look at what it means to redefine success, not by how much we accomplish, but by whether we are creating a life we do not need to recover from. This episode is an invitation to slow down without falling behind, to work with the nervous system rather than against it, and to remember that the way we get where we are going matters as much as arriving.

  • The Art of Heartful Living with James Woeber

This week on The Conscious Consultant Hour, Sam welcomes James Woeber, best-selling author, international consultant, speaker, and Co-Founder and President of The Art of Heartful Living Institute.

For more than three decades, James has worked with inspired leaders and organizations to help them unlock their brilliance, manifest their greatest visions, and become genuine agents of positive change. His unique path integrates over thirty years as an energy healing master trainer with twenty-two years as a family and systemic constellations facilitator and trainer, alongside a distinguished career as a multi-award-winning producer, director, and writer whose work spans socially conscious nonprofits and Fortune 1000 companies.

What sets James's approach apart is the way he weaves these threads together into a single body of work aimed at wholeness. His encounter with Family and Systemic Constellations changed the way he understood healing itself. He discovered that many of the struggles we assume are ours alone are often carried down through family and ancestral lines, and that when those hidden dynamics are brought into the light, profound shifts can happen with surprising grace.

His work is not about fixing or discarding parts of ourselves we do not like, but about expanding our capacity to hold every part with strength and love. When we hold ourselves differently, he says, we begin to transform, and from that place we become people who can create real change in the world.

Together, Sam and James explore what it means to soften the old patterns that were designed to protect us, and to reconnect with the authentic power and gifts each of us came here to share. They discuss the wisdom of constellation work, the systemic dimensions of healing that individual approaches often miss, and the kind of heart-centered leadership our moment is calling for.

Drawing on more than two decades of facilitation, James speaks to the remarkable breakthroughs he has witnessed in people who did not become someone different, but were finally free to become more fully themselves. This episode is an invitation to remember who you are beneath the conditioning and inherited patterns you have carried, and to bring that authentic self into the world in service of something greater.

  • The Shadow Side of the Psychedelic Renaissance with Dr. Richard Louis Miller

This week on The Conscious Consultant Hour, Sam welcomes Dr. Richard Louis Miller, clinical psychologist for more than 65 years, bestselling author, and host of the internet radio broadcast Mind, Body, Health & Politics.

Dr. Miller is the founder of the internationally acclaimed Cokenders Alcohol and Drug Program and the creator and chief clinician of the Health Sanctuary at Wilbur Hot Springs, California. He has served on the faculty of the University of Michigan and Stanford University, as an advisor on the President's Commission on Mental Health, as a founding board member of the Gestalt Institute of San Francisco, and on the national board of directors of the Marijuana Policy Project.

His new book, The Adverse Effects and Therapeutic Potential of Psychedelic Medicines, arrives in a moment when the psychedelic conversation urgently needs the full story rather than the sanitized one.

What makes Dr. Miller's new work distinct is his willingness to look at both sides of the medicine. Drawing together insights from world experts in psychiatry, neuroscience, and psychedelic research, the book goes where most others do not: into side effects, integration challenges, and the cases where psychedelic use has caused real harm. It also offers evidence-based guidance on how these substances can still be used safely and effectively in a therapeutic context. Coming from one of the earliest advocates for psychedelic research, this is not the voice of caution from the outside. It is the voice of someone who has spent decades inside the conversation, watching what works, what does not, and what happens when reverence gives way to hype.

Together, Sam and Dr. Miller explore what an honest, mature relationship with psychedelic medicine looks like in this moment. They discuss the ground where science, spirituality, and public policy meet, the conditions that support genuine healing and the ones that quietly increase risk, and the responsibility of practitioners and participants alike as these medicines return to public life. Dr. Miller brings the perspective of an elder who has walked with these substances since long before the current renaissance and who is unafraid to name both their promise and their shadow.

  • Hearts Are Meant to Be Broken with Rachel S. Heslin

This week on The Conscious Consultant Hour, Sam welcomes Rachel S. Heslin, author, speaker, and student of the psychology of identity and human experience for more than four decades.

Rachel is the author of Navigating Life: 8 Different Strategies to Guide Your Way and Rituals of Release: How to Make Room for Your New Life, both available in multiple languages. Her TEDx talk, "A Defense of Victim Mentality," turns condemnation into compassion in just six minutes, and hints at the kind of thinking she brings to territory most of us prefer to avoid. This month brings the release of her newest work, Hearts Are Meant to Be Broken: A New Approach to Grief, a book that could not be arriving at a more needed moment.

Rachel's exploration of grief did not come from theory. It came from paying close attention to what happens in a life when loss, of any kind, is not given room to move through us. In her new book, she pushes back on the tidy stages and cultural timelines we have inherited, and offers instead an approach that honors grief as something we are meant to feel deeply rather than manage efficiently. Her title carries the whole thesis: hearts are meant to be broken, not as damage, but as opening. Loss, when met rather than avoided, can crack us into a wider, more honest, more tender version of ourselves.

Together, Sam and Rachel explore why our current cultural approach to grief has left so many people quietly disconnected from their own hearts, and what becomes possible when we let loss teach us instead of trying to move past it. They discuss why this conversation matters more now than perhaps ever, in a world carrying so much collective and personal loss, and how a different relationship with grief can shift not only our healing but our capacity to love. This episode is an invitation to soften around what has broken you, to trust that the heart knows how to grieve when we finally let it, and to consider that what breaks us open may be what allows us to become whole.

  • Where the Body Holds the Story with Robert Weisz PhD

This week on The Conscious Consultant Hour, Sam welcomes Robert Weisz, Ph.D., retired clinical psychologist, consultant, and trainer whose fifty years of practice have moved fluidly across the worlds of Ericksonian hypnosis, shamanic healing, mindfulness, and nondual wisdom.

Robert is co-author of the newly released Mindfulness-Based Somatic Emotional Processing: A Guide for Patients and Therapists. He has taught through Southwestern College, the University of New Mexico School of Medicine, Webster University, the University of Wyoming, and New Mexico Highlands University, and served as co-founder and director of the Milton Erickson Institute for Clinical Hypnosis and Behavioral Sciences of New Mexico for forty years.

Robert's path into this work began well before his career did. Born in Lima, Peru, in 1944 to German-Jewish parents who had fled the Holocaust, he spent his early years moving through Peru, Bolivia, and Chile before immigrating to the United States at thirteen. That early experience of exile and adaptation seeded a lifelong curiosity about the human mind and the resilience of the spirit. His doctoral research in sleep and dreams gave way to decades of clinical practice, community mental health work, and a deep involvement with Ericksonian hypnotherapy. Alongside all of this, drawn by the healing potential of altered states, he spent thirty years studying with shamans and healers in Peru, Ecuador, Brazil, and the United States, letting that ancient knowledge shape and inform his clinical understanding.

Together, Sam and Robert explore what it means to help people heal at the meeting place of body, mind, and spirit. They discuss the somatic wisdom the body carries long after the thinking mind has moved on, the emotional patterns that live beneath cognition, and the mindful presence that allows what is held to finally be released. Drawing on Robert's new book, they look at how mindfulness-based somatic emotional processing offers patients and therapists a grounded, integrative path into deep healing. This episode is an invitation to trust the intelligence of the body, to soften into what wants to be known, and to remember that healing rarely happens through the mind alone.

  • The Magdalene Revolution with Andrew Harvey

This week on The Conscious Consultant Hour, Sam is delighted to welcome back internationally acclaimed writer, poet, and mystical teacher Andrew Harvey.

The author of more than forty books, including Son of Man, The Hope, Love is Everything, Turn Me to Gold, and Radical Regeneration with Carolyn Baker, Andrew is also the founder of the Institute for Sacred Activism, an organization devoted to inviting concerned people to meet our global crises as inspired, effective, and practical agents of institutional and systemic change.

He returns to the show with a powerful new book, The Magdalene Revolution: The Return of the Sacred Feminine and the Birth of Radical Equality, a work that may be the boldest and most timely of his long career.

In The Magdalene Revolution, Andrew offers a radically fresh reading of Mary Magdalene, drawing on decades of scholarship in sacred texts, the Gnostic gospels, and the mystical traditions. He examines how she has been portrayed in the New Testament, sometimes splendidly and sometimes dangerously distorted, and recovers the truths revealed about her in works such as the Gospel of Mary.

Together, Sam and Andrew explore what this revolution asks of each of us in a world in profound transition. They discuss the return of the sacred feminine, the sacred marriage of feminine and masculine within every human being, and the embodied path of love and equality that the Magdalene Revolution invites us to live. They also touch on sacred activism as the natural expression of this awakened consciousness and the courage required to participate in birthing a new humanity. This episode is an invitation to step into a wider, fiercer, more tender vision of Christ consciousness, and to recognize that the healing of our world may begin with the restoration of the feminine voice that was silenced, but never lost.

  • Wisdom from the Akashic Records with Rev. Lisa Barnett

This week on The Conscious Consultant Hour, Sam welcomes Rev. Lisa Barnett, visionary founder of the Akashic Knowing School of Wisdom and custodian of the 8 Galactic Lineage Akashic Access Keys.

For more than three decades, Lisa has dedicated her life to guiding individuals through deep spiritual transformation using the wisdom of the Akasa, the great library that holds every soul's history, agreements, and plan. As the acclaimed author of four bestselling books, she has helped students and clients around the world tap into a source of guidance that has been available to humanity across cultures and ages, yet often forgotten in modern life.

At the heart of Lisa's work is the conviction that each of us carries a soul path uniquely our own and that aligning with it opens the door to greater fulfillment, clarity, and abundance. Through her teachings, she illuminates the often-hidden dimensions of our lives: the soul contracts that shape our relationships, the karmic patterns that quietly influence our choices, and the past-life vows that can echo into the present in ways we rarely recognize. Her groundbreaking 5-Step Akashic Access Prayer System gives students a practical way to step into their own soul record and receive the kind of personal, divine wisdom that no outside teacher can ever fully provide.

Together, Sam and Rev. Lisa explore what it means to consult the Akashic Records as a living source of guidance rather than a mystical curiosity. They discuss how this ancient body of wisdom can support healing, decision-making, and the unwinding of patterns that no longer serve us and how restoring access to the records is, in Lisa's view, part of humanity's larger awakening in this moment. This episode is an invitation to remember that the answers we seek are not only outside of us and that within each soul lives a library written long before this life began, quietly waiting to be read.

  • Myths & Magic of the Psychedelics Revolution with Jay Fiset

This week on The Conscious Consultant Hour, Sam welcomes Jay Fiset, best-selling author, global speaker, mastermind mentor, and psychedelic educator, advocate, and guide.

Over the years, Jay has worked with thousands of entrepreneurs and leaders, helping them grow not only their businesses but themselves. His approach has always reached beyond conventional strategy, drawing on unconventional and deeply effective methods for unlocking clarity, creativity, and genuine transformation. Today, his work has expanded into one of the most important conversations of our time: the responsible, intentional use of psychedelics for healing, connection, and human potential.

Jay's path into this work began close to home. High school sweethearts with his wife Cory, partners in life and business for more than three decades, the two found themselves quietly leading parallel lives as kids, careers, and the loss of aging parents took their toll. Just before their twenty-fifth wedding anniversary, they were not sure their marriage would survive. A single, powerful MDMA journey became an unexpected doorway into reinvention, renewal, and the deepest love of their lives. Out of that experience, Jay and Cory founded The Connection Experience, a series of retreats supporting committed couples in using psychoactives to reignite intimacy, healing, and presence in fundamentally healthy relationships.

Together, Sam and Jay explore the myths and the magic of the psychedelic revolution unfolding around us. They discuss what these medicines can and cannot do, the cultural confusion still surrounding them, the importance of skilled guidance and integration, and the evolving legal landscape. Jay also shares stories from his own life and from the couples he and Cory have worked with, offering an honest look at the do's and don'ts of these experiences. This episode is an invitation to look beyond the hype and the fear and to consider what becomes possible when ancient medicines meet modern lives with care, intention, and an open heart.

  • The Art of Listening

This week on The Conscious Consultant Hour, Sam goes solo again to explore something so simple it is easily overlooked, yet so rare it can change a life: the act of truly listening.

In a world of constant noise, urgent opinions, and conversations that often feel like waiting rooms for our own next words, the experience of being deeply heard has become a quiet form of medicine. Sam opens this reflection by reading from the work of Dr. Rachel Naomi Remen, whose words on listening have touched generations of healers and seekers and whose insight that listening may be the oldest and most powerful instrument of healing sets the tone for the conversation that follows.

In this thoughtful and personal episode, Sam draws on Remen's reflections to explore what gets in the way of real listening. He looks at the noise within, the urge to respond, to advise, to fix, and to relate it back to ourselves and the noise around us, the speed of modern life that leaves little room for presence. He considers why so many people walk through their days feeling unheard and what it costs us individually and collectively when listening becomes a lost art. The points Remen raises about generous silence, about the difference between listening to reply and listening to understand, and about the way our attention itself can be a healing offering become the through-line of a deeper exploration into why this practice is both so simple and so difficult.

Sam turns toward what becomes possible when we soften enough to truly hear another and when we allow ourselves to be heard in return. He reflects on the courage listening sometimes asks of us, the discomfort of staying present when we cannot solve, and the unexpected intimacy that grows when silence is allowed to do its work. This episode is an invitation to slow down, to listen more deeply to others and to ourselves, and to remember that some of the most healing moments in any life happen not when something is said but when someone is finally, fully heard.

  • Psychedelics and Human Potential with Dr. Charles Warter

This week on The Conscious Consultant Hour, Sam welcomes Dr. Charles Warter, psychiatrist, author, and lifelong bridge between Western medicine and the world's great spiritual traditions. With more than five decades of clinical practice spanning psychiatry, addiction medicine, and complementary medicine, Dr. Warter has held faculty appointments at the University of Miami and the University of Hawaii Schools of Medicine, and has served as founder and president of the World Health Foundation for Development and Peace, for which he received the United Nations Messenger of Peace Award. Author of more than twenty books in eight languages, including Soul Remembers, Recovery of the Sacred, and he returns this month with a new work that has been quietly forming over a lifetime: Psychedelics and Human Potential.

Few voices are as uniquely positioned to speak to this moment in the psychedelic renaissance. Born in Chile and shaped by early studies with healers, shamans, and Kabbalists across Mexico, Peru, Egypt, India, and the Middle East, Dr. Warter brings together indigenous wisdom, Gestalt training from Esalen, molecular biology, transcultural psychiatry, and decades of work in addiction medicine. His new book draws on this rare integration to explore how psychedelics, approached with reverence and clinical wisdom, can serve not as escape but as catalysts for the fuller expression of who we are. It is a vision of human potential grounded in both science and soul.

Together, Sam and Dr. Warter explore the promise and the responsibility of this unfolding chapter in consciousness medicine. They discuss what these substances can reveal when held in ceremony and integration, the dangers of treating them as quick fixes, and the deeper invitation they offer to remember the sacred self. Dr. Warter brings the perspective of a true elder, one who has walked with world leaders and spiritual teachers alike, and who continues to remind us that healing is always, at its heart, an act of remembering. This episode is an invitation to consider what becomes possible when modern medicine, ancient wisdom, and the courage to look within meet on the same path.

  • Belonging in a Disconnected World

This week on The Conscious Consultant Hour, Sam takes the mic solo to explore something many of us carry quietly: the experience of loneliness and isolation. Though we are more connected than ever through screens and devices, a deeper sense of belonging has become harder to find. Since the pandemic reshaped how we gather, work, and relate, many people have noticed a loneliness that lingers, and for those moving into the later seasons of life, the circles that once felt full can slowly grow quiet.

In this honest and reflective episode, Sam looks at why loneliness has become so widespread and why it can feel so difficult to name. He explores the difference between being alone and feeling lonely, the way isolation can settle in gradually without our noticing, and the conditioned belief that we should be able to handle everything on our own. Drawing on personal reflection and observation, he considers how disconnection affects not only our mood, but our health, our sense of purpose, and our relationship to ourselves.

Together with his listeners, Sam turns toward what helps: the quiet, essential work of building and finding community. He offers gentle reflections on how connection can be cultivated at any age, through shared practice, showing up consistently, reaching out before we feel ready, and allowing ourselves to be seen. This episode is an invitation to soften the isolation many of us have come to accept, and to remember that belonging is not something we earn, but something we return to, together.

  • Sacred Awakenings with Sara Roccisano

This week on The Conscious Consultant Hour, Sam welcomes Sara Roccisano, world-traveling author, international speaker, wayshower, and founder of Embolden Adventures.

Several years ago, Sara left a tenured career in finance and renewable energy across Wall Street and Corporate America to undergo a profound personal transformation. From the depths of the oceans to the heights of the mountains, to the ancient megalithic sites and everywhere in between, she has explored over 43 countries and more than half of the United States, each journey deepening a two-decade spiritual awakening shaped by wisdom keepers, the natural world, and the call to adventure.

Through Embolden Adventures, Sara has built an encouragement platform that inspires personal, professional, and spiritual transformation. Her forthcoming book, Stone Temple Passport: Awake and Radiate with Mama Ayahuasca, set for release in 2026, is the first in her Embolden Adventures Transformational series a true-story travel memoir that weaves together sacred sites, plant medicine, and the inner pilgrimage of becoming. Sara's path reflects what happens when we trade the certainty of a conventional career for the deeper certainty of following soul.

Together, Sam & Sara explore what it means to walk away from a life that looks successful on the outside in order to answer something stirring within. They discuss the wisdom held in ancient stone temples, the teachings of Mama Ayahuasca, and the way travel itself can become a sacred practice when approached with openness and reverence.

This week on The Conscious Consultant Hour, Sam welcomes White Owl, ceremony leader, healer, and author of In Service of Ayahuasca: A Medical Doctor’s Journey into an Ancient Healing Tradition.

Working with Amazonian plant medicines since 2005 and leading ceremonies since 2008, White Owl brings together the worlds of modern medicine, psychotherapy, and indigenous healing traditions. Guided primarily by the plants themselves and trained by Peruvian Mestizo Vegetalistas, his path reflects a rare integration of scientific understanding, deep spiritual practice, and decades of lived experience.

Retiring from medicine in 2022, after 36 years as a comprehensive ophthalmologist, White Owl trained in Gestalt Psychotherapy and Emotionally Focused Therapy for couples, maintaining a therapeutic practice alongside his medical career. Over time, his work evolved toward helping people heal not only physically but also emotionally, relationally, and spiritually. Through ceremonies and plant dietas in Peru, as well as gatherings across North America, he has supported countless individuals in exploring expanded states of consciousness with safety, reverence, and integrity.

  • Shamanic Soul Retrieval with Lisa Biritz

This week on The Conscious Consultant Hour, Sam welcomes Lisa Biritz, author of Shamanic Soul Retrieval and the Shamanic Star Wisdom Oracle deck.

Drawing from years of study in Core Shamanism, the Hawaiian Huna tradition, and teachings from respected lineage holders, Lisa brings a deeply experiential understanding of how ancient wisdom can support modern healing. Splitting her time between Hawaii and Austria, she leads seminars and immersive experiences that reconnect people to nature, spirit, and their own inner wholeness.

In this fascinating conversation, Lisa introduces the concept of shamanic soul retrieval, the idea that parts of our soul can fragment and separate due to trauma, stress, or overwhelming life experiences. She explains how this “soul loss” can show up in our lives as low energy, disconnection, addiction, or a feeling that something essential is missing. Through practical insight and grounded examples, Lisa shares how these lost parts can be called back, restoring vitality, clarity, and a deeper sense of self.

Together, Sam and Lisa explore what it truly means to be whole, not just as individuals, but as communities and even as a planet. They discuss how soul loss can affect relationships, societies, and our connection to the natural world, and how healing is possible on all levels. This episode is an invitation to look inward, reclaim what has been lost, and rediscover the light, strength, and completeness that have always been within you.
