• Cashflow Canucks - Rocky Lavlani - Richer Soul

Join me and my guest Rocky Lalvani as we talk about the perception of money that most entrepreneurs have and struggle with having. In this episode, Rocky shares the behavioral psychology side of finance and the principles that have helped his many clients understand the true harmony they need to have with their money and business. He believes in the importance of talking about money at a young age, address what money is to one's life, and embrace the essence of believing in success in order to truly achieve it. Welcome, and enjoy!

In this episode you will learn:

What mindset can make a lottery winner go broke?

Address the limiting belief that's holding you back from your success.

    The Principles of Profit First.

    You got rich, now what?

The importance and effect of loving what you do.

    About Rocky Lalvani:

Rocky was shocked to learn most business owners don't look at their financial reports. It has to do with the mindset around money and also fear and shame. When he realized how much of a problem this was, he knew his purpose was to help business owners be profitable.

As a certified Profit First Professional, Rocky helps business owners put Profit First, so they have the fuel to build the business and life of their dreams. He changed the standard GAAP equation from Sales - Expenses = Profit to Sales - Profit = Expenses. By putting Profit First, business owners focus on what matters in their business and cut expenses that don't provide value.

Rocky started with nothing when his parents immigrated to the United States when he was two years old, and his parents were in their 40's. It was his parents' second time starting over in life when they moved to the US to experience the American dream.

Despite a lot of struggles and his mom passing away when he was 7, he has achieved financial success and wants to share all that he has learned along the way so others can achieve success much faster.

    ●    Defining the basics of sales and marketing and how they differ from each other

    ●    Why you should avoid bootstrapping in your business. Delegate!

    ●    Knowing yourself and your brand’s essence

    ●    And more!

    About Robert Schmidt:

He’s like Mr. Incredible meets Mr. Spock meets Mr. Dressup - visionary, analytical, and ultra-creative, without the tights, the ears, or the tickle-trunk. And as a branding and communications thought leader, he may just be the epitome of atypical and abnormal but in a different way than you might think.

With a degree in Molecular Biology and Genetics, years of studying the psychology of the consumer, and a graduate business degree in new venture creation and innovation, Robert combines the analytical rigor of science with the openness of psychology and the practicality of business. And he knows more random information than any one person should. Seriously, just ask him.

Fortunately, though, Robert brings a wealth of useful information and applicable knowledge to all that he touches. In the mid-90’s, Robert quickly began to climb the gold-laden corporate ladder at one of Canada’s most successful companies. Within a decade, however, he was bit by the entrepreneurial bug and led astray. In fact, he’s started and grown numerous ventures since then (one was an ouch while the others were a hit!). So have faith, Robert DOES know what it takes to win at business.

Today, Robert focuses on answering the most important question, “WHY YOU?”. He is an internationally recognized expert on Innovation, Brand Strategy, and Communications.

From strategic insight to corporate branding, Robert has helped his clients and companies gain nearly $1 billion in profitable revenue through effective brand positioning. Though his clients would say, it is his uncanny ability to get deep inside the mind of the market and create industry-leading positions. Just think of him as a stalker with a purpose.

When Rob is not being a vocal ambassador for his clients, or deep in study of an innovative approach to life or business, he can be found proudly being the best Dad possible for his two amazing daughters. See, he really is a nice guy and not nearly as mean as he looks (mostly). Currently, Robert also teaches at Mount Royal University, serves on the Dean’s Advisory Counsel for the Faculty of Science at the University of Calgary, and has served in numerous board, advisor, and subject-matter-expert positions through Futurepreneur, TEC Canada, Vistage, Federation of Calgary Communities and the United Way.

Specialties: value innovation, strategic planning, project management, growth strategy, sales, brand positioning, marketing, strategy, blue ocean strategy.

    ●    And more!

    About Kira Leskew:

I am Kira Leskew, founder and CEO of The Eagle Institute Ltd. I started The Eagle Institute to help business leaders and entrepreneurs learn the skills that helped me the most on my business and personal journey. These are meditation and self-healing skills.

I was originally asked to start teaching others when going through some extremely emotionally and mentally challenging circumstances. When telling the story of some recent experiences in a mindful and calm manner to a group of my colleagues, a few of them asked me, “How can you tell that story so calmly? I would be in the hospital from so much stress.”

“My meditation practice,” I replied. “It gives me the skills to stay neutral and not get caught up in the drama. It also helps me to learn from and heal the parts of me that created these circumstances in the first place.”

A few of those people were my first clients. “I need to learn that, better yet, so does my executive team."

Since that time, I have added additional meditation and personal healing techniques that allow practitioners to make changes quickly. The results have been outstanding. Clients have healed issues, whether stress and burnout, or personal growth issues in less than a year when they had been struggling with the same issues often for decades.

I am personally certified as an advanced yoga and pranayama teacher, which I completed 18 years ago. Since that time, I have trained in Mindfulness, Vajrayana, psychic healing, and Ho’onoponopono. Combined in all disciplines, I have more than 11,000 hours of experience to date. I completed this practice and training at the same time as founding and / or running seven different businesses.

  • Cashflow Canucks - Jody Steinhauer

Join me and my guest, Jody Steinhauer, as we talk about her passion for helping others. She talks about how she quickly left the fashion industry, got into sales and business, and eventually got herself busy providing for people in need.

    In this episode, you’ll learn:

    • To live a life that doesn’t compromise your values.
    • The importance of giving back to others.
    • Having supplies prepared even before the COVID issue started.
    • Managing every decision by your gut. It’s a skill that not all people have!
    • The developments that automation can drive.
    • Enabling more opportunities for charities during the pandemic.

    ~

    About Jody Steinhauer:

Fueled by my entrepreneurial passion and commitment to helping others, I founded an award-winning discount wholesale & promotional products company and a national charity focusing on giving back to my local community and across the country. This was the catalyst for our new social enterprise Kits for a Cause.

I started The Bargains Group with the goal of helping retailers save money on wholesale clothing and accessories. 29 years later, The Bargains Group has grown into an award-winning company famous for our $2.00 t-shirts; but now offers over 50,000 custom promotional products and other non-branded items at up to 80% off.

I live by the philosophy “giving back makes great business sense” which led me to found the charity, Engage and Change. Engage and Change is focused on good people working together for the good of people. Together we've mobilized 1,000s of corporate volunteers to pack thousands of survival kits and donated millions of bottles of water to the homeless community.

Kits for a Cause was created because there was a void that existed between non-profit organizations and the corporate world. Our social enterprise matches companies who want to do good, but have no clue where to start, to a local non-profit that aligns with their mission and company core values. Kits for a Cause engages group by providing them with everything they need to host a Kit packing event in their own space. We send everything a group needs to pack custom Kits for the charity and support them in planning for the event with our toolKit. It's a turnkey solution that creates a positive impact and increased employee engagement in three easy steps!
