About Jody Steinhauer:

Fueled by my entrepreneurial passion and commitment to helping others, I founded an award-winning discount wholesale & promotional products company and a national charity focusing on giving back to my local community and across the country. This was the catalyst for our new social enterprise Kits for a Cause.

I started The Bargains Group with the goal of helping retailers save money on wholesale clothing and accessories. 29 years later, The Bargains Group has grown into an award-winning company famous for our $2.00 t-shirts; but now offers over 50,000 custom promotional products and other non-branded items at up to 80% off.

I live by the philosophy “giving back makes great business sense” which led me to found the charity, Engage and Change. Engage and Change is focused on good people working together for the good of people. Together we've mobilized 1,000s of corporate volunteers to pack thousands of survival kits and donated millions of bottles of water to the homeless community.

Kits for a Cause was created because there was a void that existed between non-profit organizations and the corporate world. Our social enterprise matches companies who want to do good, but have no clue where to start, to a local non-profit that aligns with their mission and company core values. Kits for a Cause engages group by providing them with everything they need to host a Kit packing event in their own space. We send everything a group needs to pack custom Kits for the charity and support them in planning for the event with our toolKit.
