In 1966, a young man named Thomas Guy Cleveland embarked on an ill-fated adventure that ended in tragedy on the monorail tracks. His story reveals a side of Disneyland rarely talked about—a side where accidents can turn magical nights into nightmares.

But that's not all; just a year later in 1967, another tragedy occurred on the People Mover ride, where a teenager lost his life attempting a dangerous stunt. The eerie question arises: What are the odds of two eerily similar fatalities occurring on the same ride?

In this episode, we delve into the mysterious disappearance of Morgan Bauer. Born on April 13, 1996, in Aberdeen, South Dakota, Morgan aspired to break free from her rural hometown and create her own identity in a bustling city. Her journey took her from Aberdeen to Atlanta in 2016, where she encountered unexpected challenges, including finding herself cast out by the man she had arranged to stay with, leaving her in a precarious situation. She resorted to working as an exotic dancer and struggled to make ends meet.

Despite maintaining contact with her friends and family through social media, Morgan abruptly disappeared from their lives on February 26, 2016, leaving no trace. The last Instagram video, capturing her walking with an unidentified man, only deepened the mystery.

Several weeks later, her mother, Sherri, was informed of Morgan's absence and embarked on a journey to find her daughter.

Morgan's family and friends remain hopeful and host "Missing Morgan Monday" events on Facebook every week to meditate, pray, and remember her. Morgan's distinctive tattoos, including a sun/moon design, an anchor, a jellyfish, and a tree of life, serve as potential identifiers if you encounter her.

On a somber afternoon, I ventured into my email inbox to find a message from a woman named Lindsey Brisbine. In her email, Lindsey recounted a series of bone-chilling encounters within what she claimed to be Ohio's most haunted residence. In this eerie house, Lindsey had amassed a multitude of inexplicable experiences, leading her to believe that recounting these tales through her podcast, aptly named "The Chilling Podcast," was the most fitting approach for everyone to hear her experiences in detail. 

I had the privilege of conversing with Lindsey, who graciously shared with me some of these extraordinary stories. Prior to delving into our discussion, it's worth noting that Lindsey has been plagued by inexplicable occurrences throughout her life. Yet, it's her accounts from the little white house in Kent, Ohio, where she lived with several roommates, that have truly captivated the imaginations of many. Her podcast, now boasting 13 episodes in its first season, is a testament to the fascination surrounding these experiences. As of late, Lindsey has unveiled a second season, ensuring that these captivating narratives continue to unfold. Santa Clarita, a city I lived in for three years, back in 2011 through 2014, is a city with many great tales. On S8E2, I had the pleasure of interviewing Evan Decker, President of Mentryville California, Inc, a non-profit that is fundraising to restore the Mentryville buildings to the time period of their heyday and open them to the public for tours. Along with this responsibility, Evan also works in other locations around Santa Clarita, and has had experiences at different places such as Hertigae Junction and the William S. Hart Mansion. So naturally, Evan has had stories at these other locations which I saved for this episode.

For this episode, I had the pleasure of interviewing my cousin, Prachelle, who I grew up very close to, only about two weeks apart from each other. And having posted all of these stories about Santa Clarita, such as Sand Canyon Road or Six Flags, my cousin Prachelle told me she had a really weird experience one time driving down a long, desolate road in San Francisquito Canyon towards Palmdale. Prachelle was about 17 years old when she and her friends decided to make the trip.

It was a two-lane road, a long empty road in the middle of the night. Nice houses filling the void on the sides of the road. It was just any ordinary night for Prachelle and her friends, to go on a late-night drive, and it was quite a long drive before Prachelle would notice headlights ahead. Mind you, it was midnight when this whole thing occurred, and not many cars just driving through the darkened roads leading to Palmdale at this time. 

How could the only car spotted by Prachelle disappear out of nowhere? A two-lane road, surely she would have passed the car. Prachelle states the car didnt pull into a driveway, she would have surely noticed the car pull off into a side road. Is it possible this car did not exist?

After this story, I had to ask my cousin if she had more stories...

Mentryville is a ghost town in Santa Clarita, California, known for its historical significance and alleged paranormal activity. The town was established in 1876 as the state's first commercially viable oil well and remained prosperous until the 1920s when production began to slow down. By the early 1930s, its residents had started leaving the area. The town is rumored to be "haunted" by the spirits of its past residents, with the most prominent being Charles Alexander Mentry, the man who created the town in the first place. Mentry's spirit is said to be seen wandering the ruins of his estate, known as the "Mentryville House," and the vicinity. Strange noises, cold areas, and even the sightings of a ghostly apparition clothed in period attire have all been recorded by visitors. In the vicinity of the former schoolhouse, visitors have described seeing a ghostly presence of a young girl wearing a white dress. Some visitors have also reported feeling watched or followed while touring the site. 

I had the pleasure of interviewing Evan Decker, who spoke out about his experiences while working on repairing, preserving, and restoring many of the aged buildings on the Mentryville site. Evan is the President of Mentryville California Inc and also runs the SCH History Moments instagram page.
