- EP. 27 Punching Left Is Not A Thing
Groups without formal structure don’t end up leaderless; they end up with informal leaders nobody chose, and nobody can hold accountable.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Democrats Suck is the political commentary podcast holding the Democratic Party accountable to the people who actually vote for it. We break down the gap between what Democratic leadership promises and what it delivers: abortion rights, voting rights, labor organizing, minimum wage, and the donor money shaping party priorities over its own base. Primary challenges. Progressive candidates vs. establishment incumbents. The stuff mainstream political coverage won't say out loud.
This isn't a show for the other side. It's for lifelong Democrats and independents who built this party and want it to answer to them again.
12m - Oct 12, 2026 - EP. 26 YOURFAVORITEGUY Is Actually YOURFAVORITEOPP
You should ask yourself why a 20 year old right wing content creator is working 24 hours a day to keep you from thinking about or using the power you have in your own backyard, to instead focus on a city and a mayor where you have none.
Who does that benefit? Flock? That BBYahoo man? The Epstein class of rich people in your community? Because keeping you dumb to the facts and in your feelings, instead of engaged in direct action where you have power, definitely benefits somebody, and it’s not the people in Gaza, not the people shot and beat by police down your block, not the people targeted by mass surveillance on the roads you drive everyday.
15m - Oct 9, 2026 - EP. 25 IWAMFW
I really wish Americans would overthrow our trash government. In my heart of hearts, I want ya’ll to flip some damn tables. I constantly find myself silently outraged by the lack of outrage, and the lack of direct action.
But that’s not how America has chosen to conduct itself. America has chosen incrementalism; change by ballot.
So we vote. Or we don’t. Maybe once in a generation, there is a sizeable change to policy. More often than not, the changes that do come, don’t help the people.
Historically, when citizens deem a government illegitimate or perceive it to be dangerously unaccountable, some conclude that only direct action will bring meaningful change.
However, it’s also historically evident that direct action, especially if it involves risking one’s own life or openly defying state power, tends not to materialize overnight.

25m - Oct 7, 2026 - EP. 24 The Race Traitor and The Klan
Today it was announced that the family of Renee Good is suing ICE agent Jonathan Ross; the man who killed her, and senior Trump administration officials over her death.
The lawsuit’s main legal tool is the Ku Klux Klan Act of 1871, a Reconstruction-era law Congress passed to fight hooded night riders who terrorized Black Southerners. The surviving piece of the Act, 42 U.S.C. § 1985(3), lets people sue anyone who conspires to deny a group equal protection of the laws out of racial or class-based animus, and it specifically covers those who "go in disguise on the highway."

13m - Oct 1, 2026 - EP. 23 GTFO
Here's something Americans agree on: Congress should have term limits. An NPR/PBS News/Marist poll this spring found 83 percent of Americans support placing term limits on members of Congress, with only 17 percent opposed, including 78 percent of Democrats, 89 percent of Republicans and 84 percent of independents. In a country that can't agree on what day it is, that's as close to unanimous as we get.
Having said that, for some, it’s the idea of term limits, and they engage the conversation with nonsense. They really like Bernie, so term limits for everyone but him. AOC is just getting started so we should give her more time.
If we’re going to be serious about term limits for congress, it’s term limits for everyone in congress.
So why hasn't it happened? Because the only people who can make it happen are the people it would remove. That’s like asking the fox to install the lock on the henhouse.
11m - Sep 26, 2026 - EP. 22 Angie Nixon Plays the Race Card
If Angie Nixon manages to win, it should be considered a miracle, and Democrats should drop to their knees and beg for her wisdom.
But here's what Angie Nixon is probably going to say when she loses her race for US Senate in November: we stayed true to who we are, we ran a campaign for the people by the people.
That's not the same thing as, we ran an effective campaign. And the Democrats know it, it’s why they’re not throwing millions of dollars behind her, not because, as she suggested on MSNow’s favorite show of minstrelsy, because she is a Black woman.
13m - Sep 25, 2026 - EP. 21 I Am Not Your Negro
James Baldwin famously said "I am not a n***, I am a man." Let's apply that in 2026.
6m - Sep 22, 2026 - EP. 20 Symone Sanders and the Democrats are Jealous of Hasan Piker
Symone kept positioning herself as a stand-in for the base's judgment, while defending a position the base has largely abandoned. She's built an entire post-government career on the premise that her time inside the machine gives her superior insight into what Black voters, young voters, and Democratic voters generally actually want. And yet, she proved in her conversation with Hasan Piker that she's completely wrong.
10m - Sep 18, 2026 - EP. 19 STFU So Ed Can STFU and Sing
The politics didn't go away when Macklemore was fired from tour, and now Ed Sheeran needs the violence capabilities of the state to manage the difference.
9m - Sep 18, 2026 - EP. 18 Leave Black People Alone
How Kendrick Lamar's name got dragged into the social media discourse around Ed Sheeran and Macklemore.
15m - Sep 17, 2026 - EP. 17 New Management
This is Ed Sheeran, he’s just recently entered his FAFO era. Let’s recap.
Macklemore said Free Palestine in his opening act for Ed Sheeran, and Ed fired him.
Then Macklemore released a statement naming Robert Kraft as the mastermind.
Then Robert Kraft gleefully accepted credit.
The next day, Ed released a statement he probably regrets because after that, every other opening act and 2 bands immediately left the tour in solidarity with Palestine and in protest of billionaires using their money to silence people.
10m - Sep 17, 2026 - EP. 16 Macklemore, Ed Sheeran and the Case of The Plastic Paddy
In 2025 on the Louis Thereaux podcast, pop singer Ed Sheeran said that he is Irish. Specifically he said that he identifies as Irish, culturally. When there was blowback he took to social media and said hey, my dad is from Belfast, I have an Irish passport, Irish folk music moves my soul, therefore, I’m Irish.
Does that make Ed Irish, or a plastic paddy trying to wash himself with the oversimplified and romantic version of what it means to be Irish. Is it the folk music? The traditional instruments? The beer?
Or is it the struggle of the people, which Ed, apparently, has chosen to selectively forget? Yeah. It’s probably that. Ireland, after all, has an intimate and painful history with colonization. Again, Ed doesn’t live in the shadow of this history.
And that matters today. Recently Ed kicked music artist Macklemore off of the final leg of his tour in the US for the crime of…saying Free Palestine during his set.
8m - Sep 14, 2026 - EP. 15 REVOLUTION!
For the last decade in American politics, Susan Sarandon chose to use her voice to push people to chaos because she thought the ends would justify the means. She was completely wrong.
9m - Sep 10, 2026 - EP. 14 System Down
Hasan Piker is a twitch streamer. Yes, Pablo Torre is a podcaster. Both of those facts are constantly weaponized by the establishment as an effort to discredit them, as if that will bring their dwindling audience back.
Hasan Piker didn't cause people to turn away from the conservative Democratic party. Democrats did that.
Pablo Torre didn't cause people to stop consuming traditional mainstream media. The media did that.
10m - Sep 9, 2026 - EP. 12 Monkey Do
Last week author and activist Rula Jabreal gave us a rare but important teachable moment on POC solidarity and the master race.
8m - Sep 7, 2026 - EP. 11 White Stupid
There’s a word that’s going to come up a lot in this episode, and that word is stupid. For some people this word feels like an insult. Other people understand that it’s a diagnosis. In some cases, it’s also a privilege. In other cases, it’s a weapon. Sometimes it’s both at the same time. With clips from (at) yeahsoimerica from TikTok, and JVL on the Bullwork, with Tim Miller.
15m - Sep 7, 2026 - EP. 10 Re-Birth of a Nation
Donald Trump might be the most maliciously racist president in the history of the United States, right up there with Andrew Jackson and Ulysses S. Grant.
A few days ago, a woman from Trump’s tightest inner circle, Laura Loomer, called Florida state rep and Democratic nominee for US Senate Angie Nixon, a "ghetto Black communist b****," and compared her to a dog that needs to be put on a leash. This isn’t the first time. She’s gone after Ilhan Omar, Ayanna Pressley, Cori Bush, and Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.
It sorta just…sat there. A few lawmakers on the right made preemptive statements written and posted by their staff. You know what didn’t happen? The media didn’t run around capitol hill or bang on republican lawmakers or candidate’s doors to ask if they denounce Laura Loomer.
10m - Sep 2, 2026 - EP. 9 Hasan Piker Derangement Syndrome
The media is suffering from Hasan Piker Derangement Syndrome. They are obsessed with talking about him, and more importantly, asking anyone on the left if they will campaign with him, if they know him, what do they think of him, do they like his suits, what products does he use in his hair, how is his beard so on point? Yanno, typical questions. It's as dumb as asking a candidate who supports a free Palestine, "does Israel have a right to exist?"
10m - Sep 2, 2026 - EP. 8 White Women, AmIRite?
Over the past couple of weeks, a handful of white women went viral; first, a. Wisconsin dairy farmer posted a string of TikToks about her collapsing operation; a labor shortage so bad she can barely milk 300 cows, seed and fertilizer and diesel prices climbing, fuel surcharges eating her margins, stress bad enough that she called a crisis hotline just to have someone to talk to.
Genuinely rough stuff.
Then people in her comments connected the dots back to the administration she voted for: the labor shortage, the input costs, the tariffs.
And instead of engaging with any of it, she posted a follow-up rant calling the responses "hate."
10m - Aug 30, 2026 - EP. 7 Planning Bros!
Hakeem Jeffries and Jared Kushner have a plan. So let me tell you what happens next.
Trump is gonna have to flip-flop on some things. But he can't look weak or like he lost.
And, to get anything from Trump, Democrats are going to have to cut a pound of flesh with a dirty knife and zero anesthesia.
Hakeem is the one with the knife. He didn't go to Jared because of his "special envoy" status, he went to him because Jared is the son-in-law of the Art of the Dealer.
