This week on We Like Art, Tommy Mavra and Manny dive into the world of Donatello — one of the major artists of the Italian Renaissance — with comedian Greg Williams Jr. joining the chaos.

What starts as a serious attempt to learn about Renaissance art quickly turns into a comedy breakdown of Donatello's sculptures, biblical stories, Renaissance nudity, bronze statues, David and Goliath, Judith and Holofernes, the Medici family, Michelangelo, and the eternal question: why did Renaissance artists keep making so many naked dudes? And Who was the Kanye West of the Renaissance?

We look at Donatello's artwork and try to figure out what we're actually looking at before the history lesson catches up with us. Along the way, we compare Donatello's David to Michelangelo's famous David, talk about the first freestanding nude statue produced since antiquity, and discover just how much chaos can be found in Renaissance art history.
