In today&#39;s climate the term WOKE has been demonized. As a slur for people who are morally conscious. However Bishop and Jamie declare they would rather be the annoying WOKE friend, opposed to the person who doesn&#39;t stand for shit!&#34;Woke,&#34; originating in African American Vernacular English, generally means being aware of and actively attentive to issues of racial and social justice.
