Vanderpump Rules Season 1, Episode 3: "You Don't Know Jax"

Do you know Jax? Because Stassi is starting to realize she might not. 👀

We're back for Episode 3 of The SUR Files' Vanderpump Rules Rewatch, and this time we're diving into Season 1, Episode 3 — "You Don't Know Jax."

After the breakup in Episode 2, Stassi is trying to move on from Jax Taylor. But while Katie and Kristen think Stassi will eventually take Jax back, Stassi is making it clear that she's reached her limit. After feeling like she's been treated poorly for years, she's determined to stand her ground.

But then comes Frank.

Stassi starts getting closer to SUR bartender Frank, creating an unexpected love triangle when Jax realizes that his ex may actually be moving on. Jax makes a big attempt to win Stassi back, and for a moment, it looks like the two might actually reconcile.

But then Frank drops the bomb.

Frank tells Stassi that he heard Jax cheated on her in Las Vegas — and that the alleged affair resulted in a pregnancy.

And Stassi is DONE.

With no evidence to back up the accusation, Stassi still takes the allegation seriously. She throws Jax's clothes around their apartment, drinks his expensive Cristal, and tells him to come get his things. When Jax arrives with Tom Sandoval, he denies cheating and vows to get revenge on Frank.

Meanwhile, Kristen and Tom Sandoval have their own explosive confrontation.

At a fashion shoot, Kristen encounters Cassandra, someone from Tom's past who reveals that she previously slept with him. Kristen brings the information back to SUR, confronts Tom during their shift, and the argument gets so intense that Lisa has to step in and remind Tom about bringing personal drama into the workplace.

And this episode gives Joshie plenty to talk about when it comes to something that goes WAY beyond reality TV drama:

Joshie takes a step back from the chaos to talk about self-respect, knowing when enough is enough, and recognizing red flags in relationships.

When you're constantly making excuses for someone's behavior, ignoring things that make you uncomfortable, or convincing yourself that someone will eventually change, where do you draw the line?

The biggest question isn't always "Will they come back?"

Sometimes it's:

"Why do I want them back?"

Joshie breaks down the importance of recognizing those red flags early, protecting your peace, and understanding that having self-respect sometimes means walking away — even when you still have feelings for someone.

Because watching Stassi and Jax back in Season 1, knowing everything that eventually happens, makes those warning signs VERY interesting to revisit.
