Episode 29. The Real Insurrection: Wilmington, NC

With the growing sensationalism surrounding the civil disobedience on January 6th, 2021, it is worth highlighting the only actual insurrection in American history. Unlike present distortions, this insurrection was organized and plotted by a political organization and used violence, murder, and terror to place unelected party officials into positions of elected office. It was heavily predicated on white supremacy and anti-Republican hatred and serves as a useful foil to the present narrative that seeks to define political opposition as insurrectionary forces.
