Coach Mike Ashton is a former track and field athlete and now coach at Utah Valley University.
As an athlete he was mainly a pole vaulter but, competed in high jump, long jump triple jump, sprints and the heptathlon/decathlon. He won multiple conference championships in the Great West and WAC conferences and graduated in 2015.
As a coach, Mike has coached high jump, sprints and pole vault at the high school level and joined the UVU coaching yeah, staff in 2021. He coaches pole vault, high jump and the multi-eventers.
