Food and Culture
Food and culture are interwoven. Every culture has its own unique ways of preparing and cooking food. Although the processes of preparing, serving, and sharing foods and drinks might appear simple, however it often carries very special and important social and cultural significance. Food is used to express cultural identity and in some cases some food and recipes and used to transmit knowledge from one generation to the next. Food connects bonds people and it is the best way to deepen our knowledge of a particular culture.
