Animal souls

In theory, an Animist believes that all objects have a soul, but there are some folk religions where there are instances that disregard this belief for logistic reasons.

Sometimes animals are commodities, sometimes Animistic beliefs are represented by specific animal behavior, Sometimes the Animistic values are migratory.

Additionally. there are occasions where we are over familiar with animals, if we treat a dog as our fur baby, can we still consider dogs to be our equal? are we really breaking down the lines of embarkation between humanity and other animal species if we consider pets should become similar to humans?
