  • A Retracted God

    Very few Animists are Atheists!

80% of indigenous tribal Animists live with the concept of a retracted God, where deity is no longer actively running the world (has no omnipotence/ Omnipresence) is dormant or gone.

This episode ties into the concept of Naturism (that the world runs entirely by causality (cause and effect)),

It ties into Cartian Philosophies about the duality of nature.

If your god is redacted, what happens to the concept of free-will and heavenly ascension? what morality are we working towards?

Both Animism and Naturism utilize immediacy, and so we look vaguely towards predetermination.

  • Animism's effect upon morality

In this podcast we look at how Animism denies Descartes and Rousseau philosophy.

There should be no duality between physicality and consciousness that Cartian philosophy suggest, (for the purposes of environmentalism, animal welfare and general morality).

The growth of Animism has been linked to social action, small people effecting change, the fall of communism and then through these things the protection of indigenous people.

Imperialist agendas are linked to our belief in society and intellect, ideas which Modern Animism is used philosophically to reject.

  • Animal souls

In theory, an Animist believes that all objects have a soul, but there are some folk religions where there are instances that disregard this belief for logistic reasons.

Sometimes animals are commodities, sometimes Animistic beliefs are represented by specific animal behavior, Sometimes the Animistic values are migratory.

Additionally. there are occasions where we are over familiar with animals, if we treat a dog as our fur baby, can we still consider dogs to be our equal? are we really breaking down the lines of embarkation between humanity and other animal species if we consider pets should become similar to humans?

    test question:

    Which do Animists believe in?

Objects that have life because they are imbued with energy.

Objects have life because they have a soul.
