Family, my brother Pastor Andrew “Mo” Momon of Victory Midtown in Atlanta sat down with me on the Love You Moore Show. We picked up where the Deep End conversation left off, and we went straight into divorce, faith and what it takes to keep trusting God when it costs you something.
Have you ever done everything you knew to do, the praying, the showing up, the counseling, and looked up one day and felt like it was just you? Pastor Mo told me how he fought for his marriage, the moment “I saw that I was the only one fighting”, and the question he had to answer for himself, “do I really trust God or not?”
He shared the counsel he still carries from Bishop Eddie Long, “take one day at a time, pray all the time and stay focused”, how he kept serving while people talked, and how he dated again with integrity. He told me what his parents' divorce did to him at 12 years old, and why “both sets of my parents, they both attend my church and both are remarried now”.
