Season 6 | Episode 95
39m | Jul 4, 2026On July 4, 2026, the United States celebrates 250 years since the adoption of the Declaration of Independence.
Two hundred and fifty years since a small collection of colonies stood before the most powerful empire on Earth and declared that they were no longer subjects of a king.
Two hundred and fifty years since Americans announced to the world that our rights do not come from government. They do not come from presidents, legislatures, judges, political parties, corporations or bureaucratic agencies.
- Our rights are inherent.
- They come from God.
- Government does not create those rights. Government exists to secure them.

- John Hancock, the many who had everything to lose
- What happened a Lexington
