Season 1 - Episode 2 - Vitalistic vs Mechanistic

In this episode we dive into the difference between the two main views in modern health care which are Vitalistic and Mechanistic. These two views look at similar problems people face from a drastically different point of view. As you can imagine the treatment prescribed is much different and so are the results! A Vitalistic view of the body sees the body as an intelligent organism with an inborn ability to heal and self regulate in response to its environment. A Mechanistic view of the body sees the body as a sum of parts that is unintelligent and passively responds to its environment. The human body is endlessly complex and our knowledge of what it's capable of continues to expand. This is what makes our job so much fun! There's a saying in Chiropractic that says, "The power that made the body heals the body". We get to help facilitate that power through SPECIFIC Chiropractic care!
