Collected Sounds was founded as a music blog in 1999. Life got in the way, along with burnout and the need for a &#34;real&#34; job and the blogger lifestyle had to go. Since the Pandemic I decided to bring it back, and add a podcast feature to the brand. The vision of this podcast is dynamic and I&#39;m open to suggestions.

Today’s story is called The Eyes Have It, and the author is Phillip K. Dick. It was written in 1953. While he’s known for science fiction stories, this one has tinges of that but is really just poking fun at the English language. I particularly identified with this one as I tend to respond to language in this way sometimes too. It’s not enough to know what the writer was trying to say, for me. If they write something that I can perceive a different way, I will find it, point it out, and usually be told, “Oh you’re being too literal, you know what they meant.” Whatever... that’s how my brain works.
