Finding God in the Place That Rejects You

Rejection does not cancel your calling.

That may be the word someone needs today.

Rejection does not cancel your calling.

Today’s Gospel tells us that Jesus came to His native place and taught in the synagogue. People were astonished by His wisdom. They saw something extraordinary. They heard truth. They recognized power.

But instead of opening their hearts, they began questioning Him.

“Is he not the carpenter’s son?”

“Is not his mother named Mary?”

“Where did this man get all this?”

And the Gospel says they took offense at Him.
