  • Mass confusion regarding the status of WCW's syndicated TV in New York.
  • “Baywatch” starts it's run in first-run syndication after previously airing on NBC.
  • Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Lopez make their debuts on “In Living Color.”
  • Nirvana's "Nevermind, "The Low End Theory" by A Tribe Called Quest, "Blood Sugar Sex Magik" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers, and "Waking Up The Neighbours" by Bryan Adams all come out on the same day.
  • The video for “Smells Like Teen Spirit" makes it's TV debut on MTV's "120 Minutes."
  • “The Jerry Springer Show” debuts in syndication.
  • WCW talking about bringing in “Ravishing” Rick Rude with a big push.
