Jeg heter Astrid Kirschner, og dette er min podkast Barokkpodden!
I dagens 4.episode snakker jeg om korsatsene i Georg Friedrich Händels berømte mesterverk Messias. Etter mange år som berømt og suksessrik operakomponist i London har Händel kommet til et lavpunkt i hans karriere, og han må innse at det kresne London-publikumet vil ha noe nytt nå. Løsningen blir å skrive oratorier fra nå av!
Urfremføringen blir i Dublin, og ikke i London – jeg tar deg med til den store dagen 13.april 1742, og jeg snakker om og forklarer noen av korscenene i oratoriet Messias.
