WISDOM KEY 3

EMBRACE CHANGE

“Everyone thinks of changing the world, but no one thinks of changing himself.”

Leo Tolstoy

“The world is to big for us.”

“Too much going on, too many crimes, too much violence and excitement. Try as you will, you get behind in the race, in spite of yourself. It's an incessant strain, to keep pace...“And still you lose ground. Science empties is discoveries on you so fast that you stagger beneath them in hopeless bewilderment. The political world is news seen so rapidly you're out of breath trying to keep pace with who's in and who's out. Everything is high pressure. Human nature can't endure much more!”

Do you want to know something interesting about those words quoted above? They appeared in the Atlantic Journal on June 16th 1833. They were written almost one hundred years ago. And we have endured. We have faced the uncertainties of life and managed to continually try to change. Not only ourselves but how we live our lives. Sure we may have stumbled and fallen a couple of times along the way. But those are just growing pains. Scrapes and bruises that will heal with time, care, and attention.

We will always face a certain amount of pressure in our lives. Be it from our families, our friends, society, or where we work. This is just the way it is. We will always be discovering more about our world, each other and ourselves. We can either try to fight this process or we can choose another way of looking at change. One that embraces it.

Change is the tool Life uses

Realize and accept that change is the only constant in the physical universe. Change is the process by which you may discover the creative power of life. Change is the motion of movement under the direction of love. Change inevitably leads to growth and growth leads to fruition, fruition leads to abundance, and abundance is an opportunity to share the essence of yourself with all existence. Change is a tool of life. It pushes you forward to new possibilities. It releases you from the past and places you in the present, renewed and refreshed.

Change is good only if you see it as such.

The end of things gives opportunity to the start of something more. Today's closure is tomorrows new adventure. And when you dream, dare to dream into existence a world that is worth living for. Something that we all can be proud of. For the dreams of tomorrow are created by the sweat of today. The world that is to come will only arrive if you set yourself to the task.

“Both tears and sweat are salty but they render a different result. Tears will get you sympathy, sweat will get you results.” Jesse Jackson

Madonna's Secret for An Amazing Living Life

Whether you love or hate her, you have to admit that Madonna has staying power. She's been in the music industry for over twenty years. In my opinion her success can be attributed to her amazing ability to adapt and change. She’s constantly reinventing herself. Pushing not only her own boundaries but the worlds as well.

With each new transformation she’s blessed with new insights, new experiences and of course new music that she shares with us.

She keeps her life fresh and vibrant.

In turn the universe opens it's arms to her, embracing her as a kindred spirit. A brave being who has struggled against the currents of self-doubt and the vice of fear that can grip our lives. She is rewarded with a life rich with opportunity and abundance.

And how is she able to do this?

By being able to invite and even hunt down the next moment of existence. By embracing change she is continually renewed and rewarded by the energies of existence.

Change Is Calling You!

You never hear the tree grown with the coming of fall. It's rooted within the rhythm of life. It knows that within its being is the infinite intelligence of life Then with grace and beauty it lets go and lets life run its course.

The friction of change helps you to see clearly the immediate crisis in front of your eyes. For the crisis is your life's silent voice speaking to you in that moment. Telling to you push on. Calling you to the deep power of potential that lays within. Reminding you to grow.

Buck Rogers, the author of Getting the Best Out Of Yourself & Others, gave us these amazing words about change, “We live in a time of paradox, contradiction, opportunity, and above all, change. To the fearful, change is threatening because they worry that things may get worse. To the hopeful, change is encouraging because they feel things may get better. To those who have confidence in themselves, change is a stimulus because they believe one person can make a difference and influence what goes on around them. These people are the doers and the motivators.”

So are you fearful or hopeful?

Why Do We Hate to Change?

We fear change because it represents death, darkness and the unknown. And while we’re moving through it’s cycle we forget that change leads us to birth, light and wisdom. We just can’t see this because we're blinded by the formidable moment of redefining ourselves. Of that grey point that lies between where we’ve been and where we think we’re going. Most of our attempts to change end in failure. And we remember those defeats. Their bitter memories remain with us. Paralyzing our best intentions.

And why do our new years resolutions always seems to go nowhere?

Because we bite off more than we can chew. We take on too much. We're not prepared for the work that needs to be done. True and lasting change happens bit by bit. A little at a time. Change happens through getting clear on what you want, creating a plan to achieve it, entering into new worlds, building new connections, believing in your goals, and being engaged emotionally about where your going. It may seem like a lot now but by the end of this book you’ll be a master at it.

In the coming episodes you'll be given the tools necessary to make change happen in your life. Smoothly. Easily. With purpose and determination.

Wisdom Key #3 Exercise

Tomorrow I want you to wake up early, I mean really early, at least a half hour before dawn. Set two alarms if you have to so that you can get up. I want you to get up in silence and just sit quietly facing east. Sit there in anticipation, waiting for the moment when the sun begins to rise up over the horizon declaring that today is a new day and a brand new life for you. During the day be aware of the subtle changes that happen to you. Be aware every time you change from one environment to the next. From your house to the car, from the car to the building where you work, from the lobby to the elevator, from the elevator to your desk if you happen to work at a desk.

Be aware of the subtle shifts in your daily routine and bring that morning peace with you all throughout the day. If you become stressed or agitated bring the memory of the morning to your minds eye and breath deeply. Set aside time in the evening, at least a half hour before sunset and sit quietly facing west. Bear witness to the awesome colors of the sky while the sun sets. Put to rest your struggles of the day and just be silent and aware during this beautiful moment.

A brief little opportunity to bear witness to change and to become aware of the sacred within each and every moment of your Life.
