- Alien Hominid vs Metal Slug 3
If you've been to an arcade, you know Metal Slug, and if you were on Newgrounds, you know Alien Hominid. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, meaning the early flash game scene of the 2000s was flatter than a plateau. Bro and Murph pit these two run-and-gunners head to see which does the ultra violent gonzo action slapstick schtick better. Who reigns supreme? SNK at the top of their game, or the scrappy animators from the interwebs trying to recreate what they love about Metal Slug?

This episode is a barrel roll of laughs and technical difficulties, but that won't stop the boys in the Satellite of Dreams from gushing about the oft-remade classic that is Star Fox 64. Combining short play times, punchy lightgun gameplay, and a branching narrative, Star Fox 64 remains one of THE games of the Nintendo 64 (and the 3DS, and the Wii U, and the Switch 2). Is there truly a secret sauce to this story of star furries? How much love does Brogan have for Bill, the dog? All this and more in the DDC episode on Star Fox 64

In the wake of 007: First Light, Brogan and Murph jump back to 2005 to experience the last time we were between Bonds and games had to make due. The solution for From Russia With Love was to go back to the OG martini shaker by recruiting Sir Sean Connery himself to reprise his favorite (and arguably best) performance as 007. Unfortunately, this also means that it's a 2005 video game adaptation of a 1960's spy film starring an 80 year-old man, creating one of the odder artifacts of the Bond franchise.

Murph gets his freak on with guest host Stephen so he can finally talk about the best 7/10 AAA-Mid game: Days Gone. Once a showcloser for Sony's 2018 E3 showcase, Days Gone is already slipping from public consciousness. It's a crude, generic open-world zombie survival game about a sad white man...and yet there's something special about it (at least Murph thinks that). At very least it has the Sawmill Horde fight.

Daydreamcast is here to make your legs quake and make you go crazy. We drop into id Software's first 3D shooter following their success with DOOM. The name Quake is known far and wide in the annals of Boomer Shooterdom, but it's never enjoyed a contemporary revival like it's older siblings DOOM and Wolfenstein have. Is there a reason it's churning madness of speed, gothism, and explosions has been left behind?

This year we're leaving behind the tank controls and fixed cameras for visceral gunplay and bullet time as we look at F.E.A.R. A meticulous FPS left behind in the seventh generation that treads the line between John Woo action and Japanese-style horror.

Halloween season on the Daydreamcast kicks off with a late night double feature of occult action titles. The Crawling Man Brendan Hesse returns to talk about Diablo 1 and Symphony of the Night. Two games about battling the forces of hell with a arsenal of magic weapons are integral to the history of Video Games. While SotN went on to name an entire genre, Diablo 1 became largely overshadowed by it's successor. Do either of these titles deserve these legacies?
