One week after the tragic events in Charlottesville on August 12th, 2017 the Boston government granted permits to KKK and Neo-Nazi affiliated groups to hold a so-called &#34;Free Speech&#34; rally. In rapid response, a handful of organizers created a counter rally, the &#34;Stand for Solidarity.&#34; The counter protesters present in the Boston Commons were estimated at around 40,000 people. These are just a few voices of prison rights activists, immigration rights activists, political performance artists, first-time protestors, and an wide array of Bostonians who were present.
