Medicine Recovery Performance With Michael Petrarca

Medicine Recovery Performance was established in 2019 when owner and founder Michael Petrarca saw a need for sports medicine providers in the community that can help people with injuries return back to their active lifestyle. Mike is a New England native growing up playing 3 sports in high school. He attended the University of New Hampshire studying athletic training, becoming certified in 2005. He went on to further his education at Troy University getting his master’s degree where he was the athletic trainer for the baseball team. Through his experiences, he has worked in a multitude of settings which include professional baseball in St. Louis Cardinal organizations and professional lacrosse with the Florida Launch. While working side by side with physical therapists and strength coaches he has developed a unique skill set to treat injures, design strength and conditioning programs to prevent injuries, and bridges the gap between physical therapy and sports performance. Mike has a vast knowledge of corrective exercises stemming from his training in dynamic neuromuscular stabilization (DNS). He also has is very skilled with hands-on soft tissue regeneration with his certification in Active Release Techniques (ART) and instrument aided soft tissue mobilization (IASTM). He prides himself in his ability to think of the body from a global perspective and treats it as such.
