  • Episode 4 The Hidden Fear Most Athletes Never Talk About

In this episode of Find It Within, we explore one of the biggest emotional battles young athletes face that rarely gets talked about. Many kids aren't playing with freedom—they're playing with the pressure of trying not to let their parents, coaches, or teammates down.

We'll discuss how that pressure shows up, how it quietly affects confidence and performance, and what sports moms can do to create an environment where their athlete feels safe to compete, learn, and grow.

If you've ever wondered why your child plays differently in games than they do in practice, this episode is for you.

  • Episode 3 I GOT CUT TWICE

As a freshman in high school, I got cut from two showcase teams.

All of my friends made the teams.

    I didn't.

At the time, I thought baseball was trying to tell me who I was. I felt embarrassed, frustrated, and like I wasn't good enough. But looking back, getting cut wasn't defining me—it was developing me.

In this episode of Find It Within, I share one of the toughest moments of my athletic journey and the lessons it taught me about confidence, failure, identity, and resilience.

    We discuss:

    • What athletes really feel after rejection

    • Why so many athletes tie their identity to performance

    • How parents can help their athletes process disappointment

    • The difference between failure and being a failure

    • How confidence is built through adversity

One of the biggest lessons I learned:

Failure and success are on the same road. Failure is simply an earlier exit.

Too many athletes quit at the first exit without realizing success may have only been a few miles farther down the road.

If your athlete has ever been cut, overlooked, doubted, or felt like they weren't good enough, this episode is for you.

Because sometimes the setback isn't the end of the story. Sometimes it's the beginning of who you're becoming.

This is more than the game.

  • Episode 2 Why Athletes Emotionally Shut Down After Failure

They’re struggling because they’re emotionally exhausted.

In today’s episode of Find It Within, we dive into the hidden emotional pressure many athletes carry behind the scenes — fear of failure, confidence struggles, pressure overload, emotional shutdown, and the silent battle of trying not to disappoint the people around them.

    We also talk about:

    • The difference between laziness and emotional exhaustion

    • Why athletes emotionally detach after mistakes

    • How pressure affects confidence and performance

    • Signs your athlete may be mentally drained

    • How parents accidentally increase emotional stress

    • What sports moms can do to create emotional safety instead of more pressure

If you’ve ever felt confused by your athlete’s body language, frustration, inconsistency, or emotional reactions after failure, this episode is for you.

Because sometimes athletes don’t need another lesson…

    they need emotional safety.

This is more than the game.
