Just realized I had two Jason's in back to back episodes.
Today is Jason Turner! He created one of the only mental health treatment programs focused on our ancestral history of evolution, using physiology to support mental health and making experiential fitness a prescription for wellness.
Jason is a resilient human having made it through two near suicide attempts and addiction as well as the destruction of a stellar military career.
He now helps others at E-Motion Wellness using a unique process.

A few months back, I was invited to be a guest on stage at a hypnotist show. I hadn't been to a show since high school (so a few years), and apparently I was...memorable. Jason Cyrus had me dancing, singing, blaming my wife for hiding my shoe (even though it was on my hand).
After the show, I mentioned to Jason I had a podcast, and without hesitation, agreed to be a guest.
And here we are!
What a cool show. Jason talks about his journey to become a hypnotist and speaker. He doesn't just make people do funny things - he also uses his skills to help people make lasting change. One of the tools he uses is the MVP process:
“Anytime I'm put in a situation where my life is not going to align with my MVP process, my answer nine times out of ten is no. When you know who you are and what you want to do with your life, it's impossible to fail.”

If I had a dollar for every time someone used age as an excuse for NOT exercising, I'd be loaded. It's time to let go of that BS and get moving.
I'm in my mid-40s, and still getting faster and stronger. When does the 'slowing down' part happen?
"Age is just a number" has been and will continue to be true. We have so much evidence of it at the gym.

Over-thinking - to put too much time into thinking about or analyzing something in a way that is more harmful than helpful.
Overthinking can be a habit that holds us back from taking action. I’m all about flipping the script and practicing under-thinking! It could be a decision, a task, or even letting go of unnecessary words or worries.
Under Thinking + Low and Slow Breathing = The Magic
Over Thinking + High and Tight Breathing = The Pucker
