• A New Microphone, Free Phone Service, and No Coffee

Today I'm putting my used Shure SM58 to work after its long journey through the USPS system. It finally arrived, complete with a small dent in the grill, and I'm talking about the increasingly late mail deliveries.

I also got approved for California Lifeline, which means I can get free cellphone service. Plus, I'm running dangerously low on coffee, sleeping way too much, and dealing with some seriously warm October weather.

And then there's my shoulder, which decided to dislocate itself while I was simply rolling over in bed. Apparently, that's just something that happens sometimes.

To wrap things up, I'm playing two songs by Tyler Ballgame: "Goodbye My Love" and "Got a New Car."

  • Too Many Microphones, Not Enough Money

Today I'm hanging out with my Samson Q2U and talking about my many microphones, offering one to my friend, and signing up for Lifeline to save around $60 a month on my phone bill.

I also give an update on my delayed Shure SM58 and talk about trying to sell my Sony NEX-5 camera. Plus, it's WWE Money in the Bank day! I discuss the match card, read some weird news about a traveler allegedly smuggling live birds in his pants, check out an article about the best supermarket frozen pizzas, and wrap things up with “Matter of Taste” by Tyler Ballgame.

  • My Grocery Haul, a Dented Microphone & Halloween Candy

Today I talk about my Target grocery delivery haul, learn the NYT Word of the Day — “acquiescence” — and talk about buying an SM58 with a dented grill.

I also talk about Celeste frozen pizza being discontinued and the most popular Halloween candy in each state, according to new data.

Just a bunch of random stuff for today.

    20m - Oct 8, 2026
  • Blue Skies, Halloween Candy & The Starbucks-Chipotle Rumor

I start the show with "Blue Skies" by Beegie Adair and Diana Krall, then talk about the hot weather, Starshine and Sydney hanging out, and being down to about $200.

Then I talk about the weird rumors surrounding a possible Starbucks and Chipotle connection, and what that would even look like.

Then I get into some Halloween candy rankings and talk about the best and worst candy of 2026.

Just hanging out and talking about some random stuff.

  • testing the shure bg 1.1

today i'm testing out another new microphone — the shure bg 1.1.

after trying it out, i don't think i like it as much as the shure pg48. the bg 1.1 sounds flatter, more neutral, and kind of dull to me, while the pg48 sounds more lively and interesting.

plus, i talk about california ranking near the bottom of a new list of the safest states in america, and a strange new study looking at a possible connection between a cat parasite and human happiness.

  • new mic, hollywood sign wildlife, plague, and hershey's halloween candy

    It's October 5th, 2026.

I start the show talking into my FIFINE Tank2 about my therapist appointment, including admitting that I haven't showered or brushed my teeth in months. Then I switch over to my Shure PG48 and talk about the microphone, running almost completely out of Café Bustelo, and being a little sluggish from my extremely watered-down coffee.

I talk about the surprisingly wild animal world underneath the Hollywood Sign, including snakes, bobcats, coyotes, mountain lions, and the legendary P-22. I also get into the new cameras and AI technology being used to watch for wildfires around Griffith Park.

Then I talk about a plague incident in Russia and wonder about how much governments tell the public during potentially serious outbreaks—and whether information can ever be deliberately downplayed to prevent panic.

I also read and talk about a Tasting Table ranking of Hershey's Halloween candy for 2026.

And somewhere in there, I play a very short air check from KJZY 93.7 Jazzy.

Just another episode of It's Me, Bree.

    26m - Oct 6, 2026
  • The 1957 Radio Show

I’ve been listening to KJZY 93.7 Jazzy lately instead of my usual station, KRSH. Apparently, I now sound like I belong on the radio in 1957. Fine. Where’s my cigarette ad and my sponsor?

I talk about my latest Target grocery delivery, Dave’s Killer Bread, Lean Cuisine, orange juice, and my new Stitch sticky splat toy.

I also make a very important correction: the dinosaur I previously called an Apatosaurus was actually a Brachiosaurus. I deeply regret this error.

Then I talk about Santa Rosa’s e-bike safety meetings, Cheez-Its versus Walmart Great Value cheese crackers, and whether it’s worth paying more for the good crackers.

I also get into the possibility of bringing dinosaurs back, why Jurassic Park isn’t realistic, and whether scientists could someday create dinosaur-like animals from birds.

Plus whatever else comes to mind.

  • Weird Halloween Stuff & E-Bikes

In this episode, I talk about buying a Shure SM57 on eBay — although it still hasn't shipped yet.

I also talk about the ridiculous hot weather, some bizarre Halloween products, and a new investigation into chemicals found in cat food.

And of course, I get into the e-bike debate.

Plus, music from Tyler Ballgame with “I Believe in Love.”

  • Stitch, Dinosaurs & Halloween Candy 🍬🦖

Today I'm talking about hanging out with my dad and making a little trip to Dollar General in Geyserville, where I picked up a Stitch sticky splat toy and four toy dinosaurs. We've got what appear to be an Apatosaurus, Parasaurolophus, Stegosaurus, and Tyrannosaurus rex. Naturally, we're also getting into the world of candy, with a look at California's favorite Halloween candy, Walmart's best-selling chocolate candy that isn't M&M's or Snickers, and a rather unusual Halloween recipe: candy corn pizza. Yes, candy corn pizza. Because apparently Halloween wasn't weird enough already. It's a little bit of family time, random toys, candy facts, and questionable pizza decisions. Welcome to another episode of It's Me, Bree!

    18m - Oct 2, 2026
  • Turkey, Tirzepatide & Starbucks

Today it's just me talking about some stuff.

Starbucks is closing two Santa Rosa locations and opening a new drive-thru, I almost bought another microphone even though my SM7B works perfectly fine, and I somehow ended up eating approximately a million turkey sandwiches. There was also a catastrophic ranch incident.

Then I get into GLP-1 medications, tirzepatide, and the realization that apparently tirzepatide is a peptide. I also take a look at a ranking of America's best cities for work and discover that San Jose is apparently doing pretty well.

It's mostly just me talking about whatever has been occupying my brain lately.

    That's the show.

    18m - Sep 30, 2026
  • Classic 5 Cheese Rigatoni

Today's episode starts with Target delivery, a repeat delivery driver whose work I have officially become a fan of, orange juice, and the eternal question of whether drinking a ridiculous amount of orange juice is actually good for you.

Plus: some random news, a quick look at a list of the best employers by state, and a full rundown of my Target grocery haul.

And somewhere in the middle of all of this, I say:

    "Classic 5 cheese rigatoni."

  • It's My Birthday

It's my birthday! I got Starbucks, an iced banana bread matcha, Sweetgreen, some new sweatpants, a tiny pocket radio, and a $1.99 Amazon Prime trial that I have four days left on.

So naturally, I also have some sad wrestling news.

I talk about my birthday, what I got, my new little radio, Amazon Prime, and then the sudden death of one of my favorite wrestlers, PAC, who had just wrestled at AEW All Out two days earlier. I also talk about Steve Borden Jr.'s injury and, because I can't help myself, the absolutely insane Black Arrow finishing move.

Just another normal day in the life of Bree.
