Ep 08: Three Myths That Keep Us Stuck And the Truth That Breaks the Mold
22m | Oct 20, 2026In “Three Myths That Keep Us Stuck and the Truth That Breaks the Mold,” we examine limiting beliefs, spiritual growth, biblical counseling, and the difference between helpful resources and the source of lasting change.
The three myths:
- “Therapy or self-help will fix me.”
- “Just pray about it,” “just trust God,” or “just have more faith.”
- “More connection in community will automatically make me healthy.”
This conversation isn’t about dismissing professional counseling, prayer, or Christian community. It’s about understanding their role, moving beyond quick answers, and learning how to bring our struggles honestly into a relationship with God.
Drawing from Romans 12:2 and Ephesians 4:22–24, Michael explores what it means to renew your mind, challenge familiar patterns, and grow in your identity in Christ. He also discusses why healthy Christian community requires more than attendance, including listening, honesty, boundaries, vulnerability, and accountability.
