It’s good to work on diverse writing topics
To figure out the right kind of writing topics that can be allotted to students, it is necessary to first have the following details:
• The age of the student
• The class to which he belongs
• The qualification for which he needs to write the essay
• The allotment of marks for the essay (in relation to the subject)
• The scope of assessment and evaluation of the essay
Once the teacher is able to zone in on the topics that the student can write, he or she also needs to understand how the topics are to be approached. For instance, if the task assigned involves a little bit of exploration or research, it would be ideal to have the essay written in a research paper format. According to study daddy there are quite a few essay writing tips that the teacher can give the student, in order to ensure that the latter is able to score a good grade.
If the student is given the option of choosing from a wide variety of writing topics, it would be better for him to do so, in consultation with his mentor and guide to avoid any problems during the researching or writing of the same. There are some educational institutions that ask students to start the whole essay writing process by doing an informative essay. This is a test that the student takes for more than just the purpose of writing an essay. The whole idea is to train the student in writing coherent and sequentially right statements in a format that can be formally called an essay. This is also to initiate the student into the many different types of essays that can be written as part of his course.
Take for example the case of a student who is doing his bachelor’s degree in Sociology. If he is asked to do a complete study on the crime rates in his country in the last one decade, it would involve a whole lot of research. The researcher would have to collect relevant data from various sources such as the internet, police records that are available to the public and archived sources (such as historical and public libraries). According to algrebra homework help experts once he is able to put all this information together, a process which is known as collation, he has to assess and evaluate the material collected and try to put forth hypotheses that are relevant to the study. One needs to remember here that this methodology should be followed, irrespective of the writing topics that are focused upon.
The student will be able to write well on a variety of topics only when he gains a lot of experience. He needs to practice the art of writing essays, by writing at length on diverse writing topics. This will make him a more confident person, eager to improve and quick to learn. Once he does this, he will also be in a position to become a mentor and a guide to others who have joined the course.
