Guide dogs are a freedom that blind folks are offered to sublimant the limited vision, if any we might have. They are not a luxury, not a spirit animal, not optional. Our guide dogs are by law medical equipment. Accepting intolerance is unacceptable but to often over looked. 

That is why these episodes are so important. Learning about a situation ahead of time leaves us all informed when confronted with a situation. Please offer any human the personal space and freedoms we all deserve, and please offer that same respect to your blind and visually impaired brothers sisters and nonbinary neighbors. Addressing someones guide dog in a direct manner is poor manners. inappropriate and extremely dangerous. Distracting a guide dog is like blinding someone depending on what that dog is seeing. All of this and more is explained through real honest conversation you can listen to and relate with. #BeingBlind2021 is simply another way of living surviving and thriving.
