50. Five Wins in Five Days: The 2011 Big East Tournament, 10 years later

1h 13m | Mar 9, 2021

Can you believe it's been 10 years since Kemba Walker led UConn to the 2011 Big East Tournament championship?

Can you believe it's been 10 years since the Huskies won five games in five days in one of the toughest conferences in college basketball history to jumpstart one of the most epic postseason runs we've ever seen?

Can you believe it's been 10 years since Cardiac Kemba, the overtime thriller to beat Syracuse and the epic showdown with Louisville in the final?

It's hard to believe, but it really has been 10 years since one of the greatest weeks in UConn history went down.

Today Matt McDonough returns for this historic 50th episode of Yes UConn, where we look back on the 2011 Big East Tournament, our experience covering it for The Daily Campus and what this tournament run meant (and still means) for UConn. We hope you enjoy this reflection as much as we did ahead of what we hope will be another epic run in the Big East Tournament later this week.
