54. Take The 'L': UConn men eliminated, NCAA embarrasses itself

1h 2m | Mar 23, 2021

The UConn men's basketball team's season is over. The Huskies were eliminated in the first round by Maryland after posting a historically awful shooting performance, and generally it was a real bummer of a finish to what was otherwise a great season for UConn.

As bad as UConn looked, however, nothing could compare to the massive "L" the NCAA took over its embarrassing handling of the women's tournament. From the inadequate workout facilities to the second-rate branding and everything in between, the NCAA made clear how little it cares about women's basketball, which is both a terrible shame and also tremendously short-sighted.

Tim Fontenault joins the show to get into all of that, from the UConn men's performance, its season as a whole and what the future might hold, to everything related to the women, both UConn's first-round win over High Point and the NCAA situation as a whole.

Hot tip, if anyone from the NCAA happens to be listening, Tim and I have some thoughts.
