My seventh year in the classroom came to an end at Sam Houston High School this year. I have heard people say that the grass is greener on the other side; I realized that that isn't true. Sam Houston was cool and interactions with some student reminded of how dope of an educator I am and also how good I have it at Waltrip! In the seventh year of my career, I say that understanding that all my creative ventures have a 50/50 chance of coming to reality; I had my second child, the class of 2025 won district in basketball, I had 16 students get mastery on the Math STAAR exam and I realized that maybe I am a career educator! I learned Loyalty this year, I learned structure, I learned repetition! Aside from being a Husband, Father, educator and coach; I want to get back in shape and thanks to the Golden State Warriors I will back in front of the lens soon! August 23, 2021 was the start of my seventh year teaching in the public high school setting! It was the start of Virgo Season and the Birthday of an icon in American Sports' History. Rest In Power Kobe Bryant! When I started teaching in my first contract year I said that in four years I will be somewhere else! That was the class of 2019. The class of 2020 came the next year and I said the same thing! Fast Forward to my seventh year and I fell PRESSED for more! (20:59)! Specifically in my career! Education is a valiant profession but I envisioned myself acting professionally! I find my self re-building my foundation! I took my first actors' headshots in years! Let me start out by saying that I'm not where I am today without the people who poured into me! Thank you!!
