Homemade Costumes and Razor Blade Apples

38m | Oct 30, 2026

Halloween used to mean a plastic mask held on by a single rubber band, a pillowcase slung over your shoulder, and a coat zipped right over the costume you begged for all month. In this special Halloween episode, Dwayne and Heather went back to the 70s and 80s to relive the decorations that got taped to the window every single year, the homemade costumes that confused the neighbors, and the haunted houses that left lasting scars.

They also dug into the candy scare that had police departments X-raying our loot, separated the real cases from the urban legends, and admitted the truth about the parent candy tax. Then came the candy itself, the good, the licorice, and the Necco wafers, before a look at how Halloween is catching on in their tiny German village.
