Sooooo I took my parents to therapy, which was one of the most liberating therapy sessions I have ever had. I didn't realize how much I was holding on to when it came to my parents, but I am glad that I was able to get some things off my chest and also hear my parent's perspectives on things as well.
I urge you, if you are in therapy, to include your parents in a session or two and if you aren't, consider it. Those two sessions alone have done wonders for our relationship, and it's only up from here!
