Reviews from the 6ix: Rob Zombie’s Halloween (2007)
2h 15m | Oct 29, 2026“Evil has a destiny”
Braden Herrington and Davie Portman present their yearly tradition of reviewing the Halloween franchise, and it’s time they take a look at the reboot! Halloween 2007!
The BDE revisit Haddonfield and chat about the grisly remake of the 1978 slasher flick- written, produced & directed by Rob Zombie.
The prequel to the evil. The first half of the film goes to 1990 with a young Michael Myers bloody origin story on Halloween night. The second half is 15 years later where he escapes a mental institution and once again goes on a gruesome rampage.
The lads discuss this explicit reboot and go through all the horrific deaths, and very big knives. Plus, all the re-casting including Danielle Harris & Malcolm McDowell, the freaky looking blonde kid, Danny Trejo and the cameos, the plot holes, connections to the past movies, Michael played by a former pro wrestler, Dr. Loomis still yelling, and we can’t forget Rob Zombie’s wife… and a whole lot more!
They discuss the comparisons to the original, what they like/didn’t like, plus some fun trivia on the movie, and a ton of trick or treating!
Happy Halloween!
