Episode 216 - Expectations

In this episode Uncle Dolemite discusses the dangers of your expectations in any situation being too high. He spends some time talking about how his set went during his first time on stage trying standup comedy, it went well of course. The talk of the appearance on stage was how the expectations were low, so whatever the outcome, it was either a push, or success. The main ingredient in disappointment is expectations, so keep your expectations low, and that will minimize you being let down. This episode is not promoting pessimism, it's saying to keep the possibility of failure in mind so U can handle it if it happens. Failure is not the opposite of success, it's something you experience on the way to success. So even when you fail, you understand that as long as you keep pushing forward, you will reach success as long as you keep your expectations realistic.
