1. Where Auckland is. Where Auckland 'aint.

Season 1 | Episode 1
7m | Sep 23, 2021

From wherever you are. From the flat whites , to the white flats (or rather up and in and under them). This 'aint Auckland, this 'aint architecture, this is a podcast from Karangahape Road.

This episode introduces us to wall-less and breathing type of architecture: Place

“I’m recording from Tāmaki Makaurau, the land desired by many. But it feels more appropriate in this instance to call it Auckland….”

Auckland has a main body of waterfront, with stagnant rooftop bars.

This land also has other kinds of water inlets, where fluid currents can portal us to many more desirable places of Tāmaki Makaurau.

Where your Auckland is?

Where your Auckland aint?

A big thank you to our sponsor for today’s episode, THE POTTERS PARK KID. An Auckland influencer and up-and-coming DJ, Potter is best known for the iconic plastic statue made in his image, erected in Potters Park nearly twenty-three years ago. Potter, now a thirty-three-years-young entrepreneur, party boy, and bachelor; has decided to “go the self-made route.” Potter is carrying on the legacy of his Dad’s construction company by building an empire that raves. Music has always been “the main vibes”, and POTTER (a.k.a DJ Chosen 1) is debuting tonight at the Waterfront, in a self-financed dance party that Potter has called “The Forever Future.” Buy your ticket today!
