ABOUT
Ron and Drew are alumni of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Daytona Beach, FL where they met. Ron started his career in radio at 104.7 WERU, an unlicensed radiating-cable FM station at the school that could only be heard in a few locations ON campus. He was a part of the team that created 99.1 WIKD-LP EaglesFM, a revamped version of the station on an FCC Low Power FM radio license. That version of the station was shared 50/50 in time with Bethune-Cookman University. In 2005, Ron, his good friend Robbio, and the crew at WIKD-LP including Division Chairpersons Jesse Lesperance and David Yarwood, the true spearheads of the LPFM license, celebrated their FIRST BROADCAST of the new station heard by ALL of Daytona Beach and Daytona Beach Shores.
In 2008, Ron returned to FL after moving back home to DC for a few years. After returning to the station, Ron and Robbio began doing a shock jock style talk show together. They met Drew, a relative newcomer to the station that had found the station later in his college life. Drew sat in on a Ron and Robb show that was...rather intense to say the least. He was now attached. Drew, Ron, and Robb have been doing radio together ever since. Adulting has caught up but Ron and Drew still LOVE this passion they have grown to love together and they are back YET AGAIN!
In 2012, "EaglesFM" was left behind and redubbed The WIKD 102.5 changing it's broadcast frequency to 102.5FM and gaining 24/7 broadcasting after breaking ties with BCU. Yep, the station continues to LIVE!
