Today's Show: HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!! 🦃🍁 Happy Canadian Thanksgiving! Whether you’re hosting the big feast, travelling to see family, or just showing up when the food is ready, today is all about good food, good people, and hopefully minimal family drama! Before Americans carved their turkeys and argued about football, Canadians had already been celebrating Thanksgiving! Let’s take a look at the history behind our holiday and how Canada developed its own Thanksgiving traditions. HOW THANKSGIVING HAS CHANGED OVER THE YEARS IN CANADA — THANKSGIVING FACTS. Thanksgiving hasn’t always meant turkey, stuffing, pumpkin pie, and a long weekend with the family. Let’s look at how the holiday evolved in Canada and discover a few facts you might not know about the celebration we enjoy today! THANKSGIVING SONGS. Every holiday needs a soundtrack, and Thanksgiving is no exception — even if the songs aren’t always the ones you’d expect! Let’s add a little music to the feast and see whether these tunes get you feeling thankful, nostalgic, or ready to dance off that extra helping of stuffing. CLASSIC BRITTLESTAR — EXPLAINING CANADIAN THANKSGIVING TO AMERICANS. We celebrate Thanksgiving in October, they celebrate in November, and somehow we both think our way makes perfect sense! Here’s a funny look at explaining our Canadian traditions to our American neighbours, who might still be wondering why we’re eating turkey so early. CELINE DION HAS FALLEN — SHE DID GET UP! Even international superstars have those moments when things don’t go quite according to plan, and Celine Dion is no exception! The good news is she got back up, proving that sometimes the best showbiz moments are the ones nobody planned.
