• I See You: A Love Letter to My Girls | Unfiltered AF -Ep. 29

    To my girls,

I don’t say this enough, so I’m saying it here.

    Thank you for seeing me.

Thank you for noticing when I go quiet instead of waiting for me to ask for help, because y’all already know I’m probably not going to. 😂 Thank you for showing up in the unglamorous seasons. The boring Tuesdays. The moments nobody takes pictures of. The times when I’m not my funniest, strongest, prettiest, most put-together self.

    You still see me.

And lately, I’ve been realizing just how much that means to me.

So this episode is a love letter to my girls—but if you’re listening and you’re not one of “my girls” yet, come on in. You’re welcome here too. Because this conversation is really about something bigger: what it means to love and be loved by another woman when we’re grown.

Not the highlight-reel version of friendship.

I’m talking about the Waiting to Exhale kind. The kind where nobody is perfect. Everybody gets it wrong sometimes. Life gets messy. People change. And somehow, the love still holds.

We talk about what it means to actually be a good friend as an adult woman. Reciprocity without keeping score. Being emotionally safe with each other. Celebrating your friend’s wins without making them a measurement of your own life. Telling the truth without being cruel. Loving somebody through an ugly season without enabling her. Knowing when to set a boundary. And learning that sometimes a friendship ending doesn’t mean it wasn’t real.

But I also had to turn the mirror on myself.

Because it’s easy to ask, “Do I have good friends?”

It’s a whole different question to ask, “Am I a good friend?”

And then there’s the part I’m still learning: how to let somebody take care of me.

I’m so used to carrying my own shit that sometimes I don’t even realize I’m struggling until somebody who knows me well enough notices first. And when my friends show up for me without me asking, it reminds me that being loved isn’t always about what you can give back.

Sometimes you just have to let yourself receive it.

So if there’s a woman in your life who sees you like that, send her this episode.

And if you’re listening alone right now, consider this me sitting beside you like we’ve known each other forever.

Because by the end of this episode, I hope you feel like you have.

    I see you, girl. 🤎

Be you. Be unshakable. And be Unfiltered AF.

  • Healing Isn’t Linear. Here’s What It Actually Looks Like. | Unfiltered AF — Episode 28

Healing gets talked about like a staircase: you work through something, move forward, and eventually leave it behind.

But real healing doesn’t usually look like that.

Sometimes you come back to the same wound, the same trigger, or the same pattern and wonder, “Wait… didn’t I already deal with this?”

In Episode 28, we’re talking about why that doesn’t necessarily mean you’ve gone backward. We’re unpacking the difference between knowing something intellectually and actually embodying it, why setbacks can coexist with progress, and how the spiral of healing can reveal growth you don’t always recognize in the moment.

Because maybe the question isn’t, “Why am I still dealing with this?”

    Maybe it’s:

    “What’s different this time?”

Listen, reflect, and then tell me what your supposed “setback” looked like. 🖤

  • One Year Later: What 27 Episodes Taught Me | Unfiltered AF Ep. 27

    One year.

    Twenty-seven episodes.

Hundreds of conversations in the comments.

Thousands of moments where I questioned myself… and still chose to press record.

When I started Unfiltered AF, I honestly didn’t know where this journey would take me. I just knew I wanted a space where healing could be honest, messy, vulnerable, and real. Somewhere we could grow together instead of pretending we already had it all figured out.

Looking back now, this podcast has become so much more than something I upload every other Monday.

    It’s become a journal.

    A safe place.

A reminder that showing up imperfectly is still showing up.

Whether you’ve been here since Episode 1 or today is the very first time you’ve found The Sycrett Society, thank you for being part of this journey. You have made this year more meaningful than I could have imagined.

As we step into Year Two, I hope you’ll keep growing with me.

    Because I truly believe…

    We’re just getting started.

  • The Biggest Lie We Tell Ourselves | Unfiltered AF Episode 26

“I’ll do it when I’m ready.”

    We’ve all said it.

But what if that sentence is keeping us stuck?

In this episode of Unfiltered AF, we’re unpacking one of the biggest lies we tell ourselves: that confidence has to come before action. Whether it’s starting over, chasing a dream, ending a relationship, launching a business, or simply believing in yourself, waiting for the perfect moment often becomes a lifetime of waiting.

As you listen, keep this question in the back of your mind:

What have you been waiting to do because you don’t feel ready?

When the episode is over, I’d love for you to think about your answer—and if this conversation resonates with you, share it with someone who might need the reminder too.

  • If No One Clapped, Would You Still Do It? | The Sycrett Society: Unfiltered AF | Ep. 25

How much of your confidence depends on someone else noticing what you’re doing?

This week we’re having an honest conversation about validation, quiet seasons, and the invisible scoreboards so many of us measure ourselves against. Whether it’s likes, promotions, relationships, healing, or success, it’s easy to mistake silence for failure.

But what if the quiet isn’t proof that you’re off track?

What if it’s where consistency is built, character is formed, and purpose becomes something deeper than applause?

If you’ve ever questioned whether what you’re doing matters because nobody seemed to notice, I hope this conversation reminds you why you started in the first place.

  • What Are You Waiting To See? | Unfiltered AF Ep. 24

Most people don’t quit when the dream is impossible.

They quit during the quiet part.

The part where nothing seems to be happening.

The part where nobody understands the vision.

The part where there’s no evidence yet.

In this episode, Sycrett explores what it means to trust yourself before the results arrive, why so many dreams die in the gap between vision and reality, and how learning to choose your own belief might be the most important skill you’ll ever develop.

If you’ve been waiting for a sign, this conversation might be it.

Because every reality starts as something only one person can see.

  • What Nobody Tells You About Grief | Unfiltered AF Ep. 23

Nobody tells you that grief can show up in your happiest moments.

One minute you’re laughing. The next, you’re trying to figure out why a song, a smell, or a random memory suddenly knocked the wind out of you.

In this episode, we’re talking about the parts of grief people rarely discuss: the guilt, the unexpected triggers, society’s unspoken hierarchy of loss, and the pressure to grieve “correctly.”

    Because grief isn’t just sadness.

It moves through every emotion we have.

If you’ve ever wondered whether you’re healing the right way, this conversation is for you.

  • Who Are You When Nobody’s Watching? | Unfiltered AF Ep. 22

This episode started from a realization I couldn’t shake:

We shapeshift more than we realize.

    Around family.

    At work.

    Online.

    In relationships.

In rooms that taught us who we needed to be to survive them.

In this conversation, I’m unpacking emotional adaptation, identity, survival habits, people-pleasing, code-switching, and what happens when we lose connection to ourselves underneath all the versions we created for different environments.

    This isn’t about shaming adaptation.

    Sometimes adjusting is wisdom.

    Sometimes it’s emotional intelligence.

    Sometimes it’s survival.

But there’s a difference between adapting… and abandoning yourself.

And I think a lot of us crossed that line quietly without even realizing it.

    So let’s talk about it.

  • You Don’t Need More Time… You Need More Honesty | Unfiltered AF Ep. 21

How many times have you told yourself:

    “I just need a little more time…”

    More time before you start.

    More time before you change.

More time before you finally become the version of yourself you keep talking about.

But what if it’s not actually about time at all?

In Episode 21, Sycrett Frison dives into the uncomfortable honesty behind procrastination, avoidance, fear, and the comfort of staying in preparation mode. Because sometimes “getting ready” feels safer than actually beginning.

This conversation is about accountability, self-awareness, and finally being honest about what’s really keeping us stuck.

    So ask yourself:

Where in your life are you asking for more time…when what you really need is honesty?

Welcome to The Sycrett Society 💋

  • Are You Actually Growing… or Just Talking About It? | Unfiltered AF EP 20

We made it to Episode 20… and this one hits a little different.

Not because of the number—but because of what it represents.

    20 conversations.

    20 moments of truth.

20 chances to choose growth in real time.

This episode isn’t about adding more information…

It’s about reflecting on what’s already been said—and asking yourself what you’ve actually done with it.

From conversations around self-growth, authenticity, and boundaries… to the reality of healing, identity, and accountability—this episode brings it all full circle.

    Because at some point…

growth has to move from awareness to action.

    So the real question is:

    Are you actually growing…

or just getting comfortable talking about it?

  • Soft Life or Avoidance? Unfiltered AF Ep. 19 | Are You Protecting Peace or Procrastinating

Syrens… let me ask you something real.

Have you ever told yourself you were protecting your peace…

but deep down you knew you were avoiding something?

    Because I have.

And it didn’t feel wrong at first. It felt justified. Like I was choosing myself, choosing ease, choosing rest.

But then days passed… and nothing changed. The same thing was still sitting there. Unanswered. Unhandled.

So I had to pause and ask myself…

Is this peace… or am I procrastinating in a prettier way?

In this episode, we’re unpacking the difference between truly living a soft life… and quietly staying stuck in comfort.

Because not everything that feels good is helping you grow.

And sometimes the things we keep avoiding… are directly tied to the life we say we want.

    We’re talking:

✨ Protecting your peace vs protecting your comfort zone

✨ Why avoidance can feel like alignment

✨ The small things you keep putting off that are actually holding you back

✨ And the truth about consistency, discipline, and showing up for yourself

So Syrens… be honest with yourself…

What’s something in your life right now that you keep pushing off… but you know it matters?

    Not later. Not eventually.

    Right now.

  • 24 Things This Year Taught Me | Unfiltered AF Ep.18 | Personal Growth & Reflection

Before stepping into 25, I had to take a moment to reflect on everything 24 taught me.

This episode is a real, unfiltered reflection on growth, lessons, accountability, and becoming. Some of these lessons came easy… others came through pressure, repetition, and hard truths.

But every single one shaped who I am today.

And to my Syrens—thank you. Every message, every call, every post… I felt the love and I appreciate you more than you know.

This episode is about closing one chapter with intention… so the next one can begin with clarity.

  • Are We Being Authentic Online… or Just Performing for Social Media? | Unfiltered AF EP. 17

Let me ask you a real question.

When you post online… are you expressing yourself?

Or are you performing a version of yourself that you think people will applaud?

Because social media has changed. What once felt like people sharing their lives now often feels like everyone is standing on a stage trying to present the most polished version of themselves.

In this episode of Unfiltered AF, we’re unpacking the difference between authenticity and performance online. We’re talking about the subtle pressure social media creates, how validation can slowly replace connection, and why authenticity is becoming more valuable than ever in a world where almost everything can be curated.

This conversation isn’t just about influencers. It’s about all of us.

Because at some point we have to ask ourselves:

Are we building a platform rooted in truth…

or are we building something that simply performs well?

  • Getting Help Before It Gets Bad | Breaking the Stigma Around Therapy & Mental Health | Unfiltered AF EP. 16

Therapy isn’t just for crisis. It isn’t just for “rock bottom.” And it definitely isn’t a sign of weakness.

In this episode, I share why I recently started therapy, how stigma shaped my early views on counseling, and why I decided to seek support before things got bad. We talk about distrust in systems, cultural narratives around mental health, the real barrier of cost, and practical options for affordable therapy.

This is an honest conversation about proactive healing, emotional accountability, and what it means to choose growth intentionally.

If you’ve ever felt unsure about therapy or counseling, this episode invites you to examine why.

This is not a science lesson — it’s a personal truth conversation about identity, perception, and self-ownership.

If you’ve ever been misunderstood or placed in the wrong box, this one is for you.

That’s what this episode is about.

Not big dramatic life moves but the quiet, everyday decisions that build the person you’re becoming. I share the question that stopped me mid-pattern and made me slow down and choose differently:

“If my future self was watching me right now… what would they think?”

We talk about habits, boundaries, discipline, self-leadership, and what it really means to build a life you won’t have to recover from later. No shame. No perfection pressure. Just honesty and intentional becoming.

Standing on big boundaries means standing on self-respect — even when it’s uncomfortable.

In this episode, we unpack what boundaries really do: they test you, reveal people’s intentions, and protect your peace when words no longer work.

This conversation is about releasing guilt, honoring your limits, and recognizing that not everyone deserves the same level of access to you — especially in a new season of growth.

If you’re entering the new year more intentional, more aware, and less available for disrespect, this episode is for you.
