Leen Tilt

Coming from a family were excelling in music, sport, and education were equally important.

All her family members valued music as an essential part of their lifestyle. Her father, already a musician planted the seed, while her mother watered and grew the love for music and the arts. Her brother, a percussionist at a very young age, is now a sound engineer, a music Producer, and a DJ known, individuallyas Psycrain, and Safe Iron with Bassclef Records.

Leen Tilt started her career in the fine arts as a violinist and a ballet dancer at the age of 10. She discovered her passion for underground music in 2005, when she accompanied her brother to one of the events he was DJing at. Needless to say, that was the moment she knew this was going to be a big part of her lifestyle. 

She often sits and listens, learning from her brother while he is composing. With his constant guidance and support, they both continue to create and contribute to each other’s music.

She uses Traktor Z1 & X1 to record her mixes, while she doesn’t use headphones, she creates weekly playlists following the key, grid and most importantly the beat in her ears.

Since she started DJ-ing at the end of 2019, she has released her debut “Nothing Can Stop Me" along with her mentor, and brother, Safe Iron in June 2020. Up next in April 2021 was their release “Still On Earth” through Bassclef Records . She also has her own podcast “The Penguin Show with Leen Tilt.”

As for the chosen name, she believes that time, forever, repeats itself with a tilt, just like music.
