103. My Naturopathic Journey With Lichen Sclerosus: What I've Learned So Far

Season 1 | Episode 103
14m | Oct 15, 2026

I'm taking you along on a new journey!

After living with Lichen Sclerosus for my entire adult life, I've recently started working with a naturopath who specializes in vulvar and vaginal health. And today, we're chatting about what that experience has looked like so far.

From my previous experiences with naturopathy to testing, gut bacteria, supplements, nutrition, and some rather interesting bathroom adventures (TMI warning), I'm sharing what I've been exploring, what I've noticed, and what I'm still figuring out:

  • Why I decided to explore naturopathic support for my Lichen Sclerosus
  • My previous experiences with naturopaths and the importance of feeling heard
  • Respecting my relationship with food while exploring nutrition
  • The testing I've done and what my naturopath discussed with me
  • What I've noticed in my body so far, including some not-so-lovely side effects
  • Why it's difficult to know exactly what's contributing to the changes I'm experiencing
  • Taking a whole-body approach while continuing to support my vulvar health
  • What's next on this journey and what I'm curious to learn

This is still very much the beginning of my experience, and I'm not sharing it as a treatment recommendation or suggesting naturopathy can cure Lichen Sclerosus.

I'm simply inviting you along as I explore another way of supporting myself, while continuing my medical care.

Because living with a chronic condition can involve a whole lot of curiosity, learning, and figuring out what works for your own lovely body.

Enjoy!
