This study investigates why public transportation workers in Lebanon often decline the flu shot, a critical issue given their role as potential super-spreaders of the virus. By surveying over 500 drivers, researchers found that while only a small minority are currently vaccinated, more than half would participate if the medicine were more affordable or easily accessible. The data reveals that social influence and past illness drive people toward immunization, whereas a lack of trust in pharmaceutical companies and a preference for natural immunity act as significant barriers. Ultimately, the text argues that public health officials must launch targeted educational campaigns and improve logistics to protect both these essential workers and the communities they serve.
