Stagflation is another word you may be hearing about lately, especially if you live in the United States. It’s defined as “a period during which both inflation and unemployment rise together.”


As we know from history books, hyperinflation creates social unrest by lowering income levels among families with lower or middle-class incomes while also increasing unemployment rates due to higher costs for business owners.
