S1 : E18 - Conversation with Ptahmassu Nofra-Uaa

Season 1 | Episode 18
3h 30m | Aug 2, 2021

Ptahmassu and I talk about his life as a Kemeticist, his training starting at age 10, being an iconographer, and more.

Ptahmassu K.M. Nofra-Uaa is an internationally noted iconographer whose celebrated work has been featured in publications including Softpower Magazine and best-selling author Nicki Scully's book Sekhmet: Transformation in the Belly of the Goddess. His icons are highly coveted by individuals and institutions, so much so that the waiting list for new commissions is nearly three years long. He is a sought-after speaker for podcasts and publications with a polytheist perspective, and has influenced international artists who credit him with having compelled their Kemetic inspirations. His work has also been lauded by professional Egyptologists for its unique yet authentic voice. He is the founder of Icons of Kemet, dedicated to the crafting of unique God-images for use in worship of the ancient Gods of Egypt. A spokesperson for devotional polytheism, his poetic hymns have been published in the volumes of Neos Alexandria/Bibliotheca Alexandrina. His up-and-coming book Sacred Verses: Entering the Labyrinth of the Gods will provide polytheists and Pagans the opportunity to delve deeply into the initiatory and magical philosophy guiding the creation of his venerated icons. He is a priest of the Temple of Isis California, a legally recognized sanctuary of the Goddess Isis in the United States, and a Priest-Hierophant in the international Fellowship of Isis, whose aims include the celebration of the Egyptian Goddess Isis and related Goddess traditions from around the globe.
