83 Pounds Busted in Illinois: Are Cops Chasing Cannabis Tax Money? | Elevated News Ep 161
๐ฟ Cannabis news podcast: 83 lbs found in a Goodfield, IL grow bust, California cops pushing for more cannabis tax revenue, and the brain science behind weed anxiety. Elevated News Ep 161.
Is the war on illicit cannabis really about public safety, or about the money? ๐ฐ Aaron and Dave break down three stories you need to hear before you plant, grow, or consume another thing. If you grow in Illinois, pay attention to the first one. ๐
๐ฅ IN THIS EPISODE ๐ฅ
๐ Goodfield, IL couple facing felony charges after police report 83 pounds of cannabis plants, jars, and grow gear. We talk about wet weight vs. dry weight, "intent to deliver," why outdoor grow clubs are risky, and why staying at your legal plant count matters.
๐ต California's law enforcement association wants a bigger crackdown on illicit cannabis to boost state tax revenue. We dig into the numbers, the 841,000 pounds seized, the "less than 2% of the illicit market" claim, and why the math never seems to add up.
๐ง Northwestern scientists found the neurons that drive cannabis anxiety. A fox odor, some mice, and a synthetic cannabinoid explain why a good high can turn bad fast. Plus: fight, flight, freeze, or process?
๐ฑ Dave's Conditional Cannabis Corner: Let's talk about Fibro. How THC and CBD may help with fibromyalgia symptoms like pain, fog, and fatigue, and why a symptom journal beats chasing strain names and percentages.
Also: Croptober harvest talk, why we are skipping Sober October this year, and your YouTube comments. ๐ฌ
