  • AEW All Out – Review
Apps & Paper provide an update on the podcast and review AEW’s latest PPV. All Out was a professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by All Elite Wrestling (AEW). It took place on September 5, 2020 at Daily's Place in Jacksonville, Florida. It was the second event in the All-Out chronology. The event was originally slated to take place in the Sears Center, in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, just like the previous edition of All Out were held. Illinois Governor J. B. Pritzker issued a disaster proclamation, the state's equivalent to a state of emergency, since March 9, which banned large public gatherings due to the COVID-19 pandemic that affected the state. Instead, the event was moved to Daily's Place, where all of AEW's events have been held since March. Eleven matches were contested at the event, including two on The Buy In pre-show. In the main event, Jon Moxley defeated MJF to retain the AEW World Championship. In other prominent matches, Orange Cassidy defeated Chris Jericho in a Mimosa Mayhem match, FTR (Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood) defeated Kenny Omega and Adam Page to win the AEW World Tag Team Championship, and Hikaru Shida defeated Thunder Rosa to retain the AEW Women's World Championship.

Seven matches were contested at the event, including one on the Kick-off pre-show. In the main event, Randy Orton defeated Edge in what WWE billed as "The Greatest Wrestling Match Ever". In other prominent matches, Drew McIntyre defeated Bobby Lashley to retain the WWE Championship, Braun Strowman defeated The Miz and John Morrison in a Handicap match to retain the Universal Championship, and Sheamus defeated Jeff Hardy. The event took place on May 23, 2020 at Daily's Place and TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville, Florida. The event was originally scheduled to take place at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Paradise, Nevada. The venue, however, cancelled all events up through May 31 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. • WWF Royal Rumble 1992
Apps and Paper turn back the clock again! This time it is WWF Royal Rumble 1992 which is seen in some circles as the greatest Royal Rumble of all time. Royal Rumble (1992) was the fifth annual Royal Rumble professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE). It took place on January 19, 1992, at the Knickerbocker Arena in Albany, New York. The main event, as in past Royal Rumble events, was the event's namesake match. It is historic because for the first time in the WWF, the last man standing would win the WWF World Heavyweight Championship, which had been vacated in December 1991. This man was Ric Flair, who eliminated Sid Justice with the help of Hulk Hogan from the outside. Featured matches on the undercard were The Natural Disasters (Earthquake and Typhoon) versus The Legion of Doom (Hawk and Animal) for the WWF Tag Team Championship, The Beverly Brothers (Blake Beverly and Beau Beverly) versus The Bushwhackers (Bushwhacker Luke and Bushwhacker Butch) and Roddy Piper versus The Mountie for the WWF Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship.

  • WWE Money in the Bank 2020
Apps and Paper sit down and recap WWE Money in the Bank 2020. Money in the Bank was a professional wrestling pay-per-view and WWE Network event produced by WWE for their Raw and SmackDown brand divisions. The majority of the event took place live on May 10, 2020 from the WWE Performance Centre in Orlando, Florida, while the show's eponymous ladder matches were pre-recorded on April 15, 2020 at WWE's Titan Towers global headquarters building in Stamford, Connecticut. It was the eleventh event under the Money in the Bank chronology. The event was originally scheduled to take place at the Royal Farms Arena in Baltimore, Maryland, but the venue cancelled all shows that were to be held in May due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In response, WWE took advantage of the situation and moved the two titular ladder matches to their global headquarters building in Stamford with a new "Corporate Ladder" gimmick where the match's titular briefcases were suspended above a ring on the building's roof. The wrestlers began on the ground floor and fought their way to the roof. Eight matches were contested at the event, including one on the Kickoff pre-show. In the main event, Otis and Asuka won their respective Money in the Bank ladder matches, which were contested at the same time. In other prominent matches, Drew McIntyre defeated Seth Rollins to retain the WWE Championship, Braun Strowman defeated Bray Wyatt to retain the Universal Championship, and Bayley defeated Tamina to retain the SmackDown Women's Championship.

  • Starrcade '83: A Flare for the Gold
Apps and Paper turn back the clock to chat about Starrcade 1983! Starrcade (1983): A Flare for the Gold was the first annual Starrcade professional wrestling event, produced under the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA) banner by Jim Crockett Promotions (JCP). The event took place on November 24, 1983 at the Greensboro Coliseum Complex in Greensboro, North Carolina and was broadcast on closed-circuit television around the Southern United States. Eight professional wrestling matches were featured. The main event was a steel cage match where Ric Flair challenged Harley Race for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship. Their feud began after Race won the title from Flair in June. Race then offered a bounty to have Flair put out of professional wrestling. In August, prior to the event, Bob Orton Jr. and Dick Slater attacked Flair, appearing to inflict on him a career-ending injury. Flair announced his retirement, but returned shortly after. The event also included a match featuring Ricky Steamboat and Jay Youngblood against Jack and Jerry Brisco for the NWA World Tag Team Championship and a Dog Collar match between Roddy Piper and Greg Valentine.

  • WWE WrestleMania 36 - Review
Apps and Paper give a full rundown of WrestleMania 36! This unique event took place over two nights and certainly generated a lot of chatter. WrestleMania 36 was the 36th annual WrestleMania professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) and WWE Network event produced by WWE for their Raw, SmackDown, and NXT brand divisions—the first to promote the NXT brand. It was filmed on March 25 and 26, 2020 and broadcast as a two-night event on April 4 and 5, marking the first time the event was broadcast over two nights as well as aired on tape delay. In addition to the WWE Network, the two productions were sold as individual PPVs, with both available as a package deal. The event was originally scheduled to take place solely on April 5, 2020, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida and was to air live. In mid-March 2020, all WWE programming was relocated to the WWE Performance Center training facility in Orlando due to the 2019–20 coronavirus pandemic, with no audience and only essential staff present. WWE subsequently announced that WrestleMania would also be presented from the facility, and air across two nights. WrestleMania's matches were filmed at the Performance Center on March 25 and 26, while two matches were filmed in atypical styles outside of WWE's traditional arena setting. In the main event for Part 1, The Undertaker, returning to his "American Bad Ass" gimmick, fought AJ Styles in a Boneyard match, and Braun Strowman challenged Goldberg for the Universal Championship in the final match from the Performance Center. In other prominent matches, Becky Lynch faced Shayna Baszler for the Raw Women's Championship, and Kevin Owens got his hands on Seth Rollins in a No Disqualification match. In the main event for Part 2, Drew McIntyre took on Brock Lesnar for the WWE Championship. In other prominent matches, "The Fiend" Bray Wyatt challenged John Cena in a Firefly Fun House match, Charlotte Flair went after Rhea Ripley for the NXT Women's Championship. This was the first time an NXT championship was defended at the event. Edge and Randy Orton clashed in a Last Man Standing match, which was Edge's first singles match since 2011, and Otis also wrestled Dolph Ziggler.

  • WWF SummerSlam 1992 - Review
Apps and Paper turn back to clock to review WWF SummerSlam 1992! This is the first Wrestling event that Apps & Paper saw so it certainly packs a nostalgic punch. Event details below: SummerSlam (1992) was the fifth annual SummerSlam professional wrestling pay-per-view (PPV) event produced by the World Wrestling Federation (WWF, now WWE). It took place on Saturday August 29, 1992, at Wembley Stadium, London, England, and aired on August 31. It was the first major WWF pay-per-view to take place outside North America. The pay-per-view included two main event matches. In the first, The Ultimate Warrior challenged "Macho Man" Randy Savage for the WWF World Heavyweight Championship. In the other main event, "British Bulldog" Davey Boy Smith took on Bret Hart for the WWF Intercontinental Heavyweight Championship. The undercard also included The Natural Disasters against the Beverly Brothers and Shawn Michaels versus Rick Martel with a stipulation that the wrestlers were banned from hitting each other in the face. WWE considers the crowd to be the fourth largest live audience ever to attend a WWF/E event, with 80,355 in attendance; WrestleMania 29 in 2013 is reported as having 80,676 fans in attendance, WrestleMania III in 1987 is reported as having 93,173 fans in attendance and WrestleMania 32 in 2016 is reported as having 101,763 fans in attendance. Some writers believe that the WWF inflated the attendance figure for WrestleMania III, however, and that SummerSlam 1992 had a larger crowd. Between ticket prices and merchandise sales, the WWF made over $3,650,000 in revenue. Reviews of the event are almost all positive, and the Smith-Hart match has been rated the best match in SummerSlam history.
